Undying Walkthrough: Otto Keisinger

Taking a break from slaying various members of the Covenant family, Patrick heads off to the realm of Oneiros so he can hand out a long-overdue beatdown.

[O] Standing Stones' Walkthrough Otto Keisinger: Manor to Oneiros


MANOR CENTRAL
Leave your room and start walking. Try all doors, and make note of the Study. Continue on until you're at the top of the main staircase... go to the door directly across from the one you entered. Go into Jeremiah's room and get the study key, scrye by the bed, and then go all the way back to the study. Get the ether traps and letter and the Widows Watch key (remember, this door is by the place where you grabbed the amplifier and then the chandelier fell down), then when Aaron attacks you use the ether traps on him. Go out through the door you opened with the Study key, take your first right then first left. Go past Aaron's room, continuing to use ether traps whenever he attacks you. You can't help but eventually get to the Widows Watch door.

WIDOWS WATCH
Go left for inventory, then continue. Go down the stairs and grab the health from the altar in front of you, and a door to the rainy outside will open. Jump out there and float up on the magic particle thingy. At the top you'll see a big altar with a door beyond it. Go through the door and right to grab the lightning rod in the corner. Take it back to the altar to get the lightning spell. Now, from that rooftop you're on, jump down to the ground on either side. Grab the inventory (one side has an amplifier), climb back up on the nets, and go to the other side. Back at the top, you should go back through the door and continue down the stairs. Shoot the door with the picture on it using your lighting, and go through.

On the other side, at the top of the staircase is a door leading to a room with crates and an amplifier. You'll have to hope from crate to crate, using Haste or Scrye to see where to go, and starting on the small crate on the other side of the room from the Amp. Go downstairs to a room with a fireplace, a couch, three windows, and a suit of armor. Over by the windows are double doors that you go through, and will be on a walkway above the Great Room where Ambrose killed Jeremiah. On the other side is a door going outdoors.

Once outside, shoot lightning at the lightning rod and then climb up the ladder that appears. Run across the rooftops towards the tower you see, that's glowing purple. Shoot the stained glass window you see, and climb up and into the tower space. Fight the Sil Lith inhabitants, using Dispel to counter the effects of their Mindshatter spells. If you've got Lightning well amplified, it'll kill them with one bolt. When you've killed them and gotten the amplifier, carefully jump/float up to the top of the tower (notice that eventually you'll see Oneiros outside the windows!). Float up the magic floaty thing at the very top and go to Oneiros.

ONEIROS
You start off in Oneiros fighting more Sil Lith Inhabitants. Either slug it out, or lure them over to the edge and push them over with the Gel'ziabar stone. Explore, and you'll find a door that needs an energy key. On the left side of the level are two portals, green and blue. Go through the blue one.

Your best bet is to avoid exploring this next level much unless you're in bad shape as far as health, since you'll return later. Run in a straight line, over the gap and jumping down to the area with the big square hole is (that a Verago comes up out of). Go into the room beyind, Scrye, and climb up the stairs in front of you into the portal. You'll pop into a level with the energy key and a portal. Grab the key, go through the portal, and now you can explore the level mentioned above. Through the room with the portal you had had to scrye to see, through the room with the floating particles up to the cubbyholes with health, and across the open area with the green grass part will be an arch leading to another blue portal. Go through, use the energy key, and pass through.

ONEIROS ABANDONED FORTRESS
Go straight into the fortress (explore the structure to the left first if you want) and use Dispel on the magic barrier. Pass through the room and into an open courtyard. Jump down, and go through the passage to the right. Go down the stairs, and at the bottom you'll see the magic platforms appear. This section is going to be trickier than the last, because there are dead ends and gaps that you'll only see if you creep to the very edge of whatever platforms have appeared. Anyway, the path will generall curve to the left from the steps, then head back around in a wide sweep to the right towards the cliff face, and finally go towards the staircase you'll see coming down from the floating structure you're trying to get to. Climb up the steps and exit through the blue portal.

ONEIROS KEISINGERS STRONGHOLD
Cross the bridge into the building, and drop down. Go left to see the bridge get destroyed, then turn around and walk to the portal. It'll bring you up into the stronghold. Ignore the main entrance and go to the left. Go through the door you see. Continue through the passage until you come to a barred doorway. Stand on the floor button to open the bars, then go down the stairs in front of you. You'll see a waterwheel and the gold sextant behind some bars. Right next to the bottom of the stairs is a small wheel in the wall... turn it. Go back up, and use the other floor button to open the other passage way. Jump into the water well you see and swim to the little pipe. Take the first side passage once you're in the pipe, and go up and grab the sextant. Swim back out (don't bother trying to go further down the pipe, just leave). Climb out, put the sextant into it's holder right there by the water, and watch the sweetass water weird pop up. Jump into it, swim all the way up, and a walkway will come out. Jump on it and go through the portal.

On the other side you get to make a choice. If you want, go straight ahead, use Dispel on the magic barrier, and fight the Gel'ziabar hound to get a manawell. You don't have to, though, if you just want to finish this level's puzzle and progress. From the starting point, go left into the kitchen room with the suspended iron pot. You'll find a small wheel on the wall that you turn to start water flowing into this pot. Toss a molotov cocktail onto the wood below the pot (or shoot the wood with phosphorus shells) and the water will start steaming. Now go back out to the entry room, up the stairs, and right to the room with an energy key. Throw the switch there, and wait for the steam to rise, the fan to turn, and the bars to open to the key. Grab it, go back to the stairs and across. Use the key and go through the door.

In the next room, go up to the coffin and touch it. The lid will move aside, and after a few seconds you'll see bloody footprints. Follow them until they open the door there, so you can go through and exit through the blue teleport that appears.

ONEIROS KEISINGERS STUDIO
Run straight, go around the spire to the the doors on the other side. Go through the teleporter. Go across the bridge, and use the broken stone to climb up and jump into the pool of blood. Swim through and grab the ancient artifact. Get out, go up to the big human statue, Scrye, and shoot the heart until it comes out. Grab it, then swim up to the grate when the water rises all the way, and go through. To the right behind the waterfall of blood is an amplifier. Continue on across the bridge, swim up the blood to the bridge above, then go up to the altar and place the heart there. Tons of Verago will attack, so use silver bullets and aim for their faces, while keeping shield active. Stay right by the altar, since as it sinks down the walls will offer some shelter. At the bottom grab the arcane whorls, then go through the teleporter.

In the room with the obelisks, go upstairs through one of the doors and place the ancient artifact in the holder. Then go back downstairs, and push the switch. The middle obelisk will rise up and give you the Flight spell. Fly up to one of the higher levels, fly over to the obelisk platform, then fly into the teleporter.

Back below Otto's Stronghold again, head towards the bridge in front of you (if it didn't get broken by lightning before, it will now). Fly across to the teleporter. The next level will come up where you have to fly from platform to platform. At the top, you can go behind the building for a health vial but it's very heavily guarded. Go inside, go down the steps. go over to the side, and use Haste to run through the pain curtain to get the spell. Then go to the far side of the room and fly up the tunnel, going from ledge to ledge, until you reach the teleport at the top.

ONEIROS ZIGGURAT
Go through the doors and up the stairs. Kill the Verago first, then fly up to Keisinger and whack him with the Scythe. Eventually you'll damage him enough that he disappears. Explore around the base of the ziggurat and some rocks will fall, allowing you to fly up off them to the next level. Climb the staircase to face Otto again at the top. Hide behind the steel girders whenever he shoots at you, then keep slicing him with the Scythe. Eventually he'll disappear again. Jump down into the square hole in the middle. You'll fall through to a tall room with many balconies. Try to fly to the top one. Jump out, fly over to Keisinger, slice him with the Scythe, repeat until he's dead. Watch the cutscenes, float back down the Manor Tower to the base where the amplifier is, then go through the door.
