Undying Walkthrough: Final Fights

You've made it through all the rest, but now you've got the two toughest forces to deal with yet; Bethany and the Undying King.

[O] Standing Stones' Walkthrough Final Fights: Bethany and Undying King

ETERNAL AUTUMN
The first part of the Eternal Autumn is very linear, so just keep going straight. If you want to get the amplifier up above where you first start, you have to go until you see a big hollow log that you use to go up a cliff. Jump into the river there, and you'll eventually be tossed into the air off a waterfall. Use flight to coast over to the little island with the amp to grab it, then go all the way back to the log. Continue until you go underground.

ETERNAL AUTUMN AIRIE
You'll come to a room with doors to the left and right. Go left first, down the cave path, and into a big round room. Go across to the altar there and touch it, then get out of that room immediately. Look back and you'll see a Phoenix flying around, then the passage out will close off. Go back up and out of the cave and now through the other door. Go up around the big flame, and into the room where the Phoenix attacks you. Kill it, then look for the torch holder on the wall that isn't lighted. Fly up and touch it, which will open a window. This will blow the flames in the center of the room aside, allowing you to fly up and grab the Phoenix (which gives you the ability to use Phoenix Eggs now).

ETERNAL AUTUMN, VARIOUS
The sections that follow are very straightforward... run in pretty much a straight line, kill all enemies, grab all inventory, and break all pots in order to get inventory. Doing this will bring you by a long ledge along a deep river gorge, over a bridge, and through a bunch of tunnels. Near the end of the tunnels you'll have to climb a vertical log that has steps carved in it, and at another point you'll have to turn a big spoked pole in order to open a rock door. Past there you'll go along the side of a waterfall. Past there is a section of ruined towers, and here is where exploration is vital if you need to stock up on health and all the other goodies. Thorough exploration, using Flight especially, will net you things like mana wells etc too. Contine on the clear path, and eventually you'll come to a door that won't open. Right next to that section of the path is a tower, and at the same height as the path is a window in the tower. Fly into there to turn the door switch.

Go through the tunnel, the room, and use Flight to go from island to island across the river. Continue through the ravine and through the doors at the end. The second set of doors you come to will have a room with two hidden Jile plants. One is hidden behind the wall in the corner to the right of the door, and the other is hidden in the far left corner. Toss dynamite into both these corners, fly over and kill the Jile, then go through the now-open doors. Continue on, kill the Dri'nen, and eventually you'll come to a bunch of Handmaidens. Make sure to kill them all before proceeding to fight Bethany.

ETERNAL AUTUMN FINAL FIGHT
The very first thing that will happen is that Bethany will summon a flickering stalker. Since what you want to do immediately is kill the handmaidens, let the flickering stalker live will you kill the females. Bethany will stay on the flat hilltop, so you can jump down and run around the buildings to escape the stalker and kill the handmaidens. Then kill the stalker, and Bethany will summon a Greater Monto'Shonoi.

From here on in what will happen is that Bethany will summon a Monto, and when you kill it she'll be momentarily stunned. Then she'll summon another one, etc. So what you want to do is kill the Monto, then get over to her (Haste and/or Flight) and behead her with the Scythe before she summons another.

THE UNDYING KING
First, use Shield to defend against the poison spit. If you stay pretty much where you spawned in then you won't have to worry about the creatures in the water. On the King's very lowest body section are two big arms with pincers, two smaller arms with a single spike at the end, then a bunch of tiny arms around the mouth. Keep shooting the arms with the spikes until they flop down.

Now the mouth on the lower section will open and draw you in. Any weapon or Skull Storm blast will close it (only takes one shot), and the creature will pop out a big head with two horns way up high. Shoot that now. Keep alternating a random number of times, and you win.
