Introduction
"Since my first encounter with the trsanti in the great war, I knew them to be people of dark ways and little morals, but when I discovered even they had some limits on acceptable behaviour, my curiosity was aroused, and so I found myself in a remote part of the country, standing in front of a forbidding mausoleum. Who was to know what lay within, and was so terrible that the trsanti would cast out one of thier own? -Patrick"
