great! SFC has been our baby since 1998 - it hard to believe that
we have been working on SFC for over four years, shipping over
600,000 units world-wide with three major releases and several
minor releases. We are very excited about showing what we are
capable of in the Next Generation setting." |

...That
leaves Activision, a company that now has the entire set of Star
Trek playing cards under its belt. Whatever it wants to do, it
can do. And it wants to do Starfleet Command III.
"To hell with the Original Series," the company said.
"Let's take it to the Next Generation." |

"Even
if you've never heard of Danny Pelfrey, you've probably heard
some of his work. The Emmy Award-winning composer has written
for television series such as Felicity and Spin City. He
has also been writing music for games for ten years, and has recently
begun scoring the game Starfleet Command III." |

"You
have six different officers; Security, Medical, Engineer, Tactical,
Helm, Science. Each of these officer have names (you can re-name
them) and each of them has their own stats like intelligence and
toughness. The intelligence stat governs who quickly the officer
will learn his sub-skills (each officer has 18 sub-skills)." |

"We
have done extensive work on the missions in order to make them
as compelling as possible. Paramount graciously granted us access
to a draft of the script for Nemesis, and we were able to add
some subtle foreshadowing and allusions to the events of the movie
in our game. Those that see the movie and play the game will be
able to recognize some of the references we make in some of the
campaigns. " |

it took over the governing duties, ruling from the Great Hall

"Borg
ships are extremely powerful; one cube is more than a match for
an entire fleet of Federation vessels. When it comes to tactics

heading directly toward their target and firing whenever they

"With
an immersive storyline and gameplay that's firmly rooted in the
Trek universe, tactical depth and an elegant interface, perhaps
Starfleet Command III will be able to boldly go where few developers
have gone before. To succeed in pleasing the hardcore fans and
also appealing to the more mainstream gamers who just want a great
game." |
