Playable Characters |
Pikachu |
Pikachu is an electric-type Pokémon that debuted in the Blue and Red versions of Pokémon (GB). In Smash Bros, Pikachu's standard attacks include Thunderbolt and Thunder.
Pikachu enters each match from a Poké Ball.
Jigglypuff |
Like Pikachu, Jigglypuff debuted in the Blue and Red versions of Pokémon (GB). In Smash Bros, Jigglypuff's standard attacks include Sing and Rest.
Jigglypuff enters each match from a Poké Ball.
Costumes |
Shiny Pikachu |
Pikachu's red costume was a rare color deviation, known as shiny Pokémon, in Pokémon: Leaf Green (GBA). Finding one of these shiny Pokémon was based entirely on luck.
Thanks to Spike for pointing this out.

Items |
Egg |
Eggs are thrown by the Pokémon Chansey, as seen in the Saffron City stage in Smash Bros.
Poké Ball |
These balls are used to capture and contain wild Pokémon. Most Pokémon must be weakened in some way before they can be captured, but once they're inside a Poké Ball, they enjoy their new home, since Poké Balls contain an environment specially designed for Pokémon comfort.
