INT. THE AGENCY- NIGHT
The Controller glances up from his typing, seeing the Hitman standing outside a door in one of the monitors.
His hands fall from the keyboard and grip one of the uzis that lay on the desk.
INT. THE AGENCY HALLS- NIGHT
The Hitman frowns at the sudden lack of typing and puts the MP5 in his left hand while drawing his desert eagle in his right.
INT. THE AGENCY- NIGHT
The Controller sneaks to the door, putting his ear to the wood, listening while looking at the monitor at the side of the room. It shows the Hitman standing stock-still.
INT. THE AGENCY HALLS- NIGHT
The Hitman suddenly bends down slightly and SLAMS the barrel of the handgun into the door.
INT. THE AGENCY- NIGHT
The Controller sees the same movement on the monitor. His eyes widen...
The DOOR'S METAL SPLINTERS as the 50 caliber slug punches through. There is a sudden PUFF of blood as the Controller falls out of view.
INT. THE AGENCY TUNNEL- NIGHT
The GUNSHOT reverberates through the tunnels as the Agent runs. He trips, the M16 CLATTERING in the dark, sliding out view.
AGENT
Shit...
INT. THE AGENCY HALLS- NIGHT
The Hitman opens the door and enters, stepping over the body of the Controller, stepping toward the monitors.
INT. THE AGENCY TUNNEL- NIGHT
The Agent goes on his hands and knees, searching for his weapon. It is impossible to find in the spacious tunnel, the M16's blackness melding with the thick inky dark.
AGENT
...no time...
He stands and continues sprinting.
INT. THE AGENCY- NIGHT
The Hitman gazes into the monitor that shows McInnery sitting near the security door. The Hitman's face darkens and he puts the Desert Eagle to the monitor and FIRES. The monitor EXPLODES.
He sees, on one monitor, that many people are exiting the building, moving through into the street. This produces a quizzical look from the Hitman. There is a sudden slight HISS from the ceiling. The Hitman looks up and he notices the sprinkler heads.
A DRIP falls from the sprinkler head. The Hitman stands over it before crouching over it. He touches the drip and moves his fingers under his nose. He CHOKES on the odor.
HITMAN
Cyanide.
He walks out.
INT. THE AGENCY HALLS- NIGHT
The Agent moves down the halls, single-mindedly seeking out the control room.
The Hitman moves past him, in the dark, without the Agent noticing. He rushes in the direction the Agent came from.
The Agent moves on, oblivious, and comes to the control room. He looks down at the broken body of the Controller, shakes his head and walks in.
INT. THE AGENCY- NIGHT
He searches desperately for the manual. He rifles through several books in the room.
AGENT
( While sorting)
Seven... nine... where the FUCK is eight?!
He finds the manual and quickly opens it up, looking for the sheet with specifically marked rectangular gaps.
He quickly flicks through the pages. He stops at page 86 and places the sheet over the page. The gaps reveal the combination.
The Agent feverishly takes out his phone and quick dials.
