The Ten Most Satisfying Moments in Hitman
by: Tech21 | February 12, 2001

5. Killing Dr. Kovacs

You make your way up the creaking staircase, and entering the operating theatre, the putrid stench of rotting flesh creeps its way to your nose. Several of the patients approach, rambling. But you ignore them, and continue into the opposite hall. Entering the bathroom, you find exactly what you were looking for - a sedating syringe, which you promtly slide into your coat pocket. A flash of excitement hits you as you turn the knob to Dr. Kovacs door. Should you should kill immediatley or wait for a reaction? You decide to wait. He begins his pleading, but you continue toward him, stonefaced. Before he can utter his last word, you jam the syringe deep into his neck. As he slumps to the ground, you begin to hear loud footsteps coming up the stairs, and soon shouting. The SWAT team bursts into the office, but all they see is the good Dr. Kovacs standing behind his desk. He does seem a little taller than usual, however.

4. Cleaning out Pablo's Mansion

While Pablo hits himself with another snort of his precious drug, the soldiers begin to grow bored with guarding the drug lord's decaying plantation house. They don't bother to notice, or even care about the conspicuous individual making his way through the rear entrance. You see three soldiers - each out of view of the other. You pass the first, turn on your heel, and in one quick motion, brace your forearm into the small of his back and pull the pentagon knife across his throat. He can struggles to utter a sound as he droops to the wood floor. You do the same with the other two. Now you slowly but surely scour each room, silently executing Pablo's men, one by one. Grabbing an AK-47 from one of your slain victims, you bust open the front doors, spraying the last remaining guards with bullets. On to Pablo...

3. Wiring Frantz Fuchs' Bodyguard

The bell boy dares not say a word as you pull the hotel master key from the knob. He only turns his head, pretending not notice and hoping you will only leave him alone. Fuchs' door guard gives you a sinister glance as you enter the adjacent room. Stepping onto the balcony, you can see Frantz' other bodyguard from the corner of your eye. He too can't help but stare. Finally he turns and enters back into the hotel room. Immediately you begin climbing over the railing - one leg - then the other. One, two, three, jump! You silently land on Frantz' balcony. As you open the French door, the curtains rustle in the mild wind. The bodyguard thinks of turning around, but before the message is sent to his muscles, the fibre wire is around his neck, and he is sinking lifelessly to the plush floor.

2. Assassinating Frantz Fuchs

With his bodyguard safely out of the way, you now need to dispose of the remaining guard stationed in the hall. Last time you checked, he had his back turned to the door. As you turn the knob, you can't help but feel the sweat begin to bead on your forehead. Even the slightest noise will alert him to turn around. Quickly you lasso the wire around his meaty neck, pulling him inside the room. You place the 'Do Not Disturb' sign, and smuggly push the door closed. Excitement builds in you as you pass the bathroom door, and retrieve the silenced Lugar from the small dressing table. You can hear the misting shower and imagine how much Frantz Fuch must be enjoying himself right now. As you swing open the door, he only manages to get in the words, "Don't do this!," before you put two bullets in his head. He slumps against the tile wall, as the draining water turns a faint crimson.

1. Destroying your creator

The time has finally come to meet the man who brought you - his creation - to life. Little does the professor know that each of his 'Number 48' clones have perished at the hands of 47, and as he approaches you with outstretched arms, he suddenly realizes his fatal mistake of judgement. The MP5 unloads several rounds into his chest. As he falls to ground gasping for breath and moaning in agony, you kneal beside him, and gently caress his head in your powerful hands. You stare into his eyes, and faintly smile. The professor is surprised for only an instant, as you suddenly tighten your grip and violently wrench his neck, ending the misery for both of you.
