Austerlitz: Napoleon's Greatest Battle

Information & FAQ

Who will be producing Austerlitz: Napoleon's Greatest Victory? Who will be distributing Austerlitz? Where can I find more information about the producer & distributor?
Updated!

The producer of Austerlitz is BreakAway Games, Inc., the Distributor is Shrapnel Games. The websites are, respectively, http://www.breakawaygames.com & http://www.shrapnelgames.com

When is Austerlitz coming out, and how much will it cost?
Updated!

Austerlitz will be availible mid to late June, availible for purchase online through Shrapnel Games or select online retailers. It will go on sale for $44.95.

Where can I download the demo?

Here on FilePlanet, or through BreakAway Games' server.

What are the system requirements?

  • Win 9x/2000/ME compatible Pentium II 266 (higher recommended)
  • 64 MB RAM (higher recommended)
  • 16-bit Graphics (800x600 screen resolution or greater)
  • 200 MB of free disk space
  • DirectX 7.0a or greater
  • CD, Mouse, and Keyboard

What will be new in Austerlitz?

New features included with Austerlitz are; 3D art & improved graphics engine, "Assistant AI" which will help move your troops for you, a new battle map (scenarios, orders of battle ect...) , weather effects (fog, day and nigth cycles). Other features will be those already within Waterrloo: Napoleon's Greatest Victory and multi-player (held on the GameSpy Arcade).

Do I have to buy Waterloo in order to play Austerlitz?

No, Austerlitz is a separate product.

Will Waterloo be upgraded with Austerlitz's new features? Will BreakAway revisit Antietam?

Many of the new features and bug fixes to the engine will be distributed in a patch, or a separate download, or, you may be required to buy Austerlitz for the new features. BreakAway Games currently does not have any plans to revisit the Sid Meier's Antietam engine. Although we all hope for the bugs to be fixed, don't count on it.

How do I get in contact with BreakAway Games? How do I submit a great idea I have?

The best bet is to visit their support forums, located here: http://pub76.ezboard.com/bbreakawaygames
