The Charge Beam allowed you to increase the damage and effectiveness of Samus's Arm Cannon. In a few Metroid games, there were Charge Combo enhancements that used the Charge Beam in tandem with the Missile Launcher or Power Bomb to fire more effective blasts.

Grappling Beam |
The Grapple Beam allows Samus to swing back and forth from special points in the environment in order to cross large gaps. Rumor has it that the Grappling Beam is a strong electrical conductor.

Gravity Suit |
The Gravity Suit was an upgrade to Samus's Power Suit that eliminated the effects of liquid on movement and increased defensive shielding. However, the Gravity Suit did not reduce damage delivered when exposed to hazardous fluids. In Metroid Prime (GC), visor modifications in the Gravity Suit made it easier to see underwater.

Metroid Hatchling |
After defeating the Queen Metroid on the Planet SR388, Samus witnessed the hatching of a Metroid larva. However, not even this iron-clad bounty hunteress could destroy the Metroid larva, which clung to Samus as if she were her mother. The larva was delivered to the Space Science Academy on the Galactic Federation Space Colony for scientific study.

Missile Launcher |
The Missile Launcher added ballistic weapon capability to the Arm Cannon. The Missile Launcher was Samus's earliest arsenal to combat against Mother Brain, Space Pirates and Metroids. Some doors throughout Samus's adventure could only be unlocked using missiles.

Morph Ball |
The Morph Ball changed Samus's suit into a compact, mobile sphere. This modification allowed Samus to infiltrate further into enemy territories. Like the Power Suit, the Morph Ball is modular. There are several modifications that can be added to improve performance.

Morph Ball Bomb |
The Morph Ball Bomb was the default weapon for the Morph Ball. The Morph Ball Bomb could be used to break cracked walls and activate certain devices. If the Morph Ball is near a Morph Ball Bomb when it explodes, it will be popped a short distance into the air. This is called a Bomb Jump. When a Morph Ball Bomb explodes, it must be close to the enemy to be effective.

Power Suit |
The Power Suit is an advanced Chozo exoskeleton modified for use by Samus Aran. The Power Suit provides life-support functions and is well shielded from attack. The modular nature of the Power Suit allows for the addition of weapons, Visors, and other gear as needed. The Power Suit's shielding loses energy with each hit; the collection of energy kept the shielding charged.

Space Jump |
The Space Jump Boots increased the leaping capability of the Power Suit through the use of boot-mounted thrusters. In most of the Metroid games, Samus could jump continuously in the air and fly through open areas.

Varia Suit |
The Varia Suit was an upgrade to Samus's Power Suit that increased heat resistance and defense shielding. While the Varia Suit could handle higher temperatures than normal, extreme heat sources and heat-based attacks would still cause damage to Samus.

The bow and arrow was one of Link's classical weapons during his adventures. While Link's arrows were mostly wooden and inert, in certain games he could infuse his arrows with magical properties. In The Legend of Zelda (NES), there was rumor of the existance of silver arrows.

In The Legend of Zelda (NES), Spectacle Rock in Death Mountain was the original location of Ganon's dungeon. While the whereabouts of this area was generally unknown, Death Mountain could be identified by the appearance of twin mountains, one of which was Ganon's lair.

Triforce |
The Triforce is a divine relic that contains the essence of the three golden goddesses: power from the goddess Din, wisdom from the goddess Nayru, and courage from the goddess Farore. The three angelic triangles currently rest in the Sacred Realm and have since been the basis of the world's providence. Link's nemesis, Ganondorf, has unsuccessfully waged many crusades to acquire the three Triforce pieces.
