Description |
You have finally reached the final fight.
Here you will be battling against a giant hand.
Unlike you other opponents, Master Hand has 300 HP (points of life) and you must bring this number to zero.
However, this is not easily accomplished.
Master Hand has different methods of attacking, and most of his attacks are difficult to block (let alone dodge).
|
Strategy |
Gun |
The most common attack he does (or one you’re bound to remember) is when he turns his hand into a gun.
He will then shoot you with one shot.
However, if his HP is 100 or lower, he will shoot three shouts.
You can try to block with your shield or just jump out of the way.
But if you happen to be Kirby, you can turn yourself into a rock.
If you are Ness, though, you can absorb the shots. Fox is able to reflect the shots, but it rarely ever hits Master Hand.
Thanks to Dingo for Fox's tidbit.

|
Finger |
You can easily see this attack when it’s coming when he points his finger at you.
Then he’ll stab you twice.
To avoid it just jump out of the way quickly before he does it or somehow run away.
|
|
Walk |
Unfortunately, you have little time to avoid this attack.
His hands imitate legs, and then he walks towards you.
If he hits, he kicks you hard and it burns (aka his flaming kick).
Jumping is the best advice if I can give you if you see it coming.
|
|
Jab |
He floats over the stage with a fist, then punches down at you.
|
|
Fist |
This one is easy to avoid.
This time, he turns his hand into a fist, travels out into the background and aims behind you, then goes for the punch.
Jumping should be easy (blocking is ok but make sure your shield is strong enough for the blast).
|
|
Punch |
He makes his hand into a fist, moves to the side of the stage, and aims a burning punch at you.
|
|
Slap |
Probably the hardest attack to evade, the Master Hand quickly slaps you with a horizontal swipe.
If you see this attack, block with your shield (it would take to long to jump).
|
|
Sweep |
He sweeps down with his hand as if he is cleaning the stage of debris.
He does the sweeping motion twice, spanning across the entire stage.
|
|
Rockets |
He extends his thumb, middle finger, and index finger (while tucking the other two away) and travels into the air and flies down at you, like a bird or eagle diving for its prey.
Just jump but a while before attacking after he lands, because his hands will still hurt you.
|
|
Smack |
Before the he performs this attack, he will go up high into the background.
Then he will dive down towards you and smack you hard against the platform.
Run away, block, or take shelter, but whatever you do, don't jump.
|
|
Drill |
He starts off from the stage, drills upwards out of the screen, then comes down to drill you.
