Everyones favourite vacation guide to the city of Rapture has been getting kudos from every inch of the globe for its awesomeness. Many game sites have picked it as the over all Game of the Year and really....was there any doubt? Here's a few sites you may have heard of that declared it the bee's knee's.
2K has sent out word that the Broken Big Daddy replacements are on their way. For those that had already registered to have their Big Daddy replaced, you will no longer need to send in your broken one - and in the process save many a mail mans spine. Here's the quote:
"In the next two weeks, we will begin shipping out a single package containing both the replacement figurine and the art book to customers who enrolled in the program by November 12th. There will be no return box or need to return the broken figurine to our attention."
Now you can have Big Daddy fights! Unfortunately the same one will always be the loser.
We have gone through all the entries for the "Create a Plasmid" contest and have finally chosen our winners. It wasn't an easy decision by any means and congratulations to those who came out on top. We want to give a big thanks to everyone who entered and I must say, some of the entries were quite...interesting. Yes, I'm looking at you Tentacle plasmid entrant.
You can view the results right here! Winners, you can expect your prizes in the mail in the near future and congratulations once again!
The Etch-A-Sketchist is a site where a fellow does some fantastic art using only his Etch-A-Sketch. For those not in the know, an Etch-A-Sketch was a god awful toy that allowed you to draw pictures by turning knobs and then turning it upside down and shaking it to erase the entire image when you made a mistake. Here's an awesome picture of the Bioshock cover art on an Etch-A-Sketch!
Ok, it actuality it was closed a few days ago, but since I have been sick as a dog since then, I haven't had a chance to announce the winners yet. See keep your pants on and keep an eye out. They will be announced shortly! Good luck to all who entered!
Good news for those that have been meaning to enter our Create a Plasmid contest but haven't had the chance yet! We are extending the contest for one more week! The closing date for the contest will be Friday September 14th at 11:59pm EST. For more information on the contest and prizes be sure to hit up the contest page.
When you load up Bioshock on your 360 today, there will be an update waiting there for you. What does it do you ask? Here's the official word from 2K:
"Hey guys,
the XBL update improves stability when loading autosaves and overall game stability, corrects audio during title menu loading, and addresses AI behaviors regarding use of health stations."
It seems some crafty people have been going through the PC version of Bioshocks files and have uncovered some goodies. It seems there are some lines of code that have 4 plasmids labeled as "Downloadable Content Announcement". The four plasmids listed are "Machine Buster", "Vending Expert", "Sonic Boom" and "EVE Saver". Most seem pretty self explanatory, but the Sonic Boom one seems to fit the mystery video that we posted earlier. Would be hella cool if it was the Street Fight Sonic Boom though :)
The cracks at the Shack have posted up their Spoiler Interview with Irrational Games (yes I still call them Irrational Games) Head Honcho Ken Levine. Hence the name "Spoiler Interview", The interview contains an ass load of spoilers, so if you haven't finished the game yet, please don't read it. The interview covers what the game started as and how it ended up where it is now, as well as taking a look at the pretty in depth storyline and ending. You can check out the interview right here!
