Goomba (x24), Green Koopa Troopa (x9), Green Koopa Paratroopa (x9), Red Koopa Paratroopa (x1)
Objective
Reach the flag pole at the end of the level.
Description
The setting should remind you of the good `ol days while playing the original Super Mario Bros (NES). You will encounter Goombas, Koopa Troopas, and Koopa Paratroopas. You even get to see Toad!
About halfway through the level, you will fight against ten Yoshis. They are relatively weak and a strong smash attack should finish them.
SECRET
In order to fight against Luigi instead of Mario in the second part of the Mushroom Kingdom adventure, finish this stage with the clock having a 2 in the seconds digit.
Strategy
To defeat the Goombas and Koopa Troopas in this level, simply jump on their heads. Avoid getting hit by them at all costs, since they will inflict damage and (depending on the difficulty) send you flying far.
VS Mario and Peach
Stage
Mushroom Kingdom: Princess Peach's Castle
Time Limit
04:00:00
Opponent(s)
Peach, Mario (or Luigi - see Description above for details)
Fortunately for you, the two Donkey Kongs do not have much sense. Therefore, you should stand on one side of the stage, charge a smash attack, and attack once they get close enough. Repeat as necessary.
Your goal is to find the Triforce in one of the six rooms in this underground labyrinth. However, if you stumble across the wrong room, you will be forced to battle against Link.
Strategy
In order to avoid the Link battles, do not touch any surfaces in the room (i.e., jump through the room and land on the other side).
When fighting on the main platform, watch out for Samus's grap and avoid the organic material in the middle of the stage (I tend to have more problem with the blobs in the middle than the computer).
Warning: Escape from Brinstar
Stage
special Adventure Mode stage
Time Limit
00:40:00
Opponent(s)
none
Ally(s)
none
Obstacles
none
Objective
Reach the transporter before your time runs out.
Description
A classical Metroid staple, your task is to escape the level in a certain amount of time. The only diffcult part about this is making sure you do not miss the platforms as you climb, else you could lose precious time. This stage will not be difficult if you don't let the time limit intimidate you.
Strategy
Use the wall jumping technique to climb faster (if you have the character who can do it).
You are pitted against 15 Kirbys that have the abilities of other characters.
SECRET
In order to fight against Giant Kirby, beat the Kirby Team in under 30 seconds.
Strategy
Each Kirby will be much weaker than the one you fought in the previous battle. Simply use a special attack or convenient smash attack to finish them off.
You will fight either Fox or Falco, but this battle will be a bit harder. Additionally, Arwings will appear frequently to aid their comrade. As long as you avoid the blasts, chances are the lasers will get your foe instead (sadly for Fox or Falco, friendly fire is ON).
In this match, fifteen (15) Pokémon are teamed against you.
Strategy
Poké Balls appear frequently (and solely) to assist you. Grab them as quick as you can and use them. Be warned: your opponents can use Poké Balls as well.
F-Zero cars drive periodically drive through the track. Seek shelter on a platform until they pass.
Strategy
Unless you are a fast character, make frequent stops to allow the F-Zero racers to pass. If you get hit with one racer, chances are they will all hit you.
For part of the battle, you will have to fight Captain Falcon under close quarters. Avoid his Raptor Boost (Forward + B) and his unblockable Dive (Up + B).
Mr. Saturn items will make frequent appearances here, but they will be more trouble for you than anything else. Don't try to fight the Ness' in a group (all it takes is for on Mr. Saturn to nullify your attack, then the other will have a chance for a free hit). Instead, try to draw one to you or physically isolate one. Also, watch out for the crazy drivers.
While you are climbing, you will encounter a few Topis and Polar Bears. Knock them out to earn some extra points. Once you reach the top, you will fight against two Ice Climbers.
Strategy
Although it is very tempting to defeat all of the Topis and Polar Bears you find, you may not have much time when the screen starts accelerating up the mountain, in which case you should stop your hunt and focus your attention on climbing. You fight with the Ice Climbers will not be challenging as long as you keep the siblings apart.
This stage's gravity has been reduced, thus resulting in greater air-time after jumps or any attack that makes you airborne.
Strategy
The anti-gravity effect is more of a nuisance than help in this level, albeit greater airtime. You will find that once you have an attacking pattern that effectively KOs three or four fighters at a time, one hit will send you floating and makes it harder to land back on the platform. Unless you are an exceptional aerial fighter, try to find your way back to the platform as soon as possible.
SECRET
How to fight against Giga Bowser in the next part of Stage 12: Final Destination:
In Adventure Mode with a difficulty of Normal or higher, beat the game in under 18 minutes without using a continue. Once Bowser is defeated, Giga Bowser will appear and fight you.
Strategy
Despite his strength and size, Giant Bowser is still a slow character. Keep a strong and quick offensive until you build his damage to at least 200%. Then use your strongest attack to knock him out.
Giga Bowser is more power that compensates for his large size. At any rate, use the same strategy from Giant Bowser (practice greater caution) and this match will be over in no time.
