Random Images
Beanstalk Battle
This is probably fairly late in production, though this may have actually been from an alternate opening demo. Reason being, Mario is the only one fighting and there is no battle status display.

Busy Booster's Tower
This is obviously within Booster's Tower, though it is perhaps a little busier than normal...

Nimbus Castle
This apperas to be a much more ornate (and devoid of ice cream scoops) version of Nimbus Castle's front doors.

Mushroom Throne Room
The throne room, in this prerelease shot, looks identical to the final version.

Wiggler
This picture, like the throne room above, could very well be from the final version of the game. However, like the others, the quality is on par with the other prerelease images.

Nintendo Power vol 77
Nintendo Power's first preview of Super Mario RPG was in volume 77, the October '95 edition (vol 77...7 stars...coincidence?). The article was, as you would expect, a brief summary of the game's style, graphics, people, and places.

I was lucky enough to come across a copy of this particular issue some time ago. However, only recently by chance did I notice it's significance. So, now, I bring to you the entire article in all of its scanned glory:
