Battle of Ravenswood

Day 45: We had another brief skirmish with the Minotaur hoard again. There were about thirty of them, but we managed to kill some before they fled into the desert. They have killed several of our people and…

By Krolm… they have killed my son… I shall have revenge! Krolm, give me the strength to exact revenge! I leave tonight against my enemies, and NO MERCY SHALL BE SHOWN!

Day 48: Tracking the Minotaurs has been easy. They are headed to Ravenswood, to the west of the desert. Krolm has told me that this will be a glorious battle for all! He has promised me revenge, and it shall be taken!

Day 53: We have come to the enemies’ encampment along the edge of the forest. There are only twenty of these miserable Minotaurs, having dispatched their guards. It will be a quick and easy kill… revenge for the ones they have killed already. We will make sure there will be no survivors.

I have received word from one of my scouts that they seem to be setting up a camp for a more prolonged stay. This will not be. I have already called in other warriors from the entire clan and revenge will be ours upon the rising of the sun.

Day 55: The Battle of Ravenswood is over… and we have found that we have brothers in the forest!

When we attacked the next day, we were sure of victory! As we ran over the dune, we could see the surprise in their faces… their beady black eyes widening in terror! They were ours… and then, the very forest came alive and attacked us! Hundreds of trees tore up the roots in the ground and attacked us. The entire clan was outnumbered about ten to one now but we were not afraid. We stood our ground, raised our weapons in the air, let out a mighty battle cry and charged into battle!

There was blood everywhere! My clansmen were dying all around me! The trees were just too many and we were too few… that was when Krolm sent us our brothers from the forests, the Rangers of Ardania! They seemed to grow out of the forest themselves, as if Ravenswood had created these warriors to combat its own evil! These great warriors attacked and the tide of victory quickly passed over to us!

When the battle was over, and the last tree had fallen, I stepped up to the leader of the Rangers and pledged my clan’s undying allegiance to them for all times! Krolm had given me revenge and had shown us our brothers!
