Hiryu Strider has graced many video game systems and has been going strong for a full ten years. Although Hiryu is the only human hero, he is not the only. For without the help of his cybernetic companions, he would never stand a chance against evil.   Strider Hiryu - Little is actually known about our hero. Hiryu is the youngest Strider to ever reach the rank of Class A and is thought to be the most skilled out of the entire clan. The Striders are a group of highly trained and technologically advanced martial arts experts. Many have described them as 'space ninjas'. Strider Hiryu is responsible with defeating Grand Master Meio and will soon be seen in action again in Strider 2.  Click Here to hear Hiryu speak. (MP3)   Dipodal Saucer - These little robots come in handy. As Hiryu swings his sword, the robot fires electric blasts in the same direction, and while Hiryu is moving the robot orbits about him, charging into and destroying enemies. Hiryu can control up to two dipodal saucers at a time. Once Hiryu is hit though the help goes away.   Hawk Robot - This character will comes to Hiryus help usually when he is overwhelmed by attackers. The only drawback to this robot is that it goes away when ever it feels Hiryu is safe.   Terapodal Robo-panther - This is a very powerful ally. While having the company of two dipodal saucers, if Hiryu comes along a certain power up the saucers with transform into this beast. The panther attacks everything on the screen.   The Amazon women - While in the Amazon jungle many of the warriors there tried to stop Hiryu thinking he was on of Meio's henchmen. But upon defeating the monster Meio had set in the jungle the Amazons were very much inclined to help Hiryu.
