On July 22, Nintendo finally announced the real name for their new portable system: the Nintendo DS. The original codename was adopted since the letters DS reflect the innovative nature of the system.  In addition to this new announcement, Nintendo has revealed the new sleeker design for the Nintendo DS. Unlike the rounded shape of the previous version, the edges of this new design resemble the current GBA and GBA SP. Although Nintendo may decide to change the layout again, most players will sleep comfortably knowing that the designers are stepping in the right direction.  | ||||||
