TY: NOTQ Official Site Launched

Thursday, September 8th, 2005

The game may not have an official release date just yet (I can say we're probably a little over a month away), but the new official site has just launched! It has all kinds of cool stuff already like Music, Wallpapers and the new EnTYclopedia which is the tomb of everything TY. There is bound to be a lot more soon as well!

And with that update, I've also updated the Night of the Quinkan area here at Down Under so make sure you check that out too.

Check out the official site here.

HUGE IgnCube TY 3 Blowout

Friday, May 13th, 2005

Upon my normal morning browsing of the internet I navigated over to IGNCube and found that they had TY on the front page! Turns out it's a huge "getting ready for E3" article. It's a great read and I know it shows off quite a bit of the new game, including new aircraft missions and it also covers the new enemy!

    Check it out here.

TY 3 Co-Published with Activision

Friday, May 13th, 2005

I've received word that Krome Studios has apparently signed a Co-Publishing agreement with Activision, a company responsible for publishing game slike Doom 3, The Tony Hawk series and many others. The company is not directly Activision, however, but it's called Activision Value Publishing. Here's what Dave Oxford, General Manager at Activision Value Publishing had to say:

“We are very excited about the new found partnership with Krome Studios,” states Dave Oxford, General Manager, Activision Value Publishing, Inc. “The partnership between Activision Value, with its dedication to providing customers with great games and Krome Studios which produces award winning content, should result in great gains for both companies.”

TY 3 will be the first game in the TY series to not be published by EA Games. Hopefully this (and I'm sure it will) is going to send Krome in a whole new positive direction.

TY the Tasmanian Tiger 3 is Official

Saturday, March 12th, 2005

TY the Tasmanian Tiger 3 (working title) has officially been announced this week. You can read the full announcement in the newly added TY 3 section. And before anyone asks, the logo on the page was created by me so that we have a button for it, it's not official. The word is that TY 3 has a late 2005 release date, which would be tremendous if true. As with all of TY's games, I've added a new TY 3 forum to the ever growing list of forums. Feel free to post your opinion on what you want to see in the game. Get your thinking caps on and hopefully we can get some good discussions going on the upcoming title.

Also, if you haven't really noticed, the look of the site has a changed a bit again only to reflect the announcement of TY 3. All of the same buttons, plus one along with only one (count 'em, one) banner at the top in a smaller more convenient display. Let me know if you like it better or worse, feedback is always a good thing. Until next time TY Tuners!

Down Under 2005

Monday, January 31st, 2005

I just wanted to tell everyone (if you haven't noticed already of course) that the new version of Down Under is up for the year of 2005. I hope everyone likes it because a lot of thought and work has gone into the design and the content. However, if you do run into any problems while surfing our humble abode then head on over to the contact area and send me a line about it. Afterall, I want this to be a simple place for you all to get around, so don't be shy to hit that contact button!

First off, each game has it's own section now. TY the Tasmanian Tiger and TY the Tasmanian Tiger 2: Bush Rescue each have their own pages chock full of information goodness for you and yours. Also, the site has pretty much been broken down into 4 pieces for all you guys so you can navigate a little easier (not to mention, with a snazzy new menubar). The main page, which you're reading right now which features some really cool "Did You Know" facts, the news and the ever popular poll. The Forums, which is everyones favorite place to hang out and chat about TY. The Contact page which gives you the chance to ask me any questions about the games, the site or whatever. Finally, the newest addition to Down Under, The DiD You Know? facts page which features many facts about Krome Studios and their development time with TY. Not to mention, a few Bush Rescue facts that you may not know! You may also have noticed that the archived news is gone as well. The reason being is I felt that it was time to start totally fresh and we didn't need anything old and moldy stinking up the place.

The site isn't wuite done yet, I still need to tighten up a few things but like I stated above though, drop me a line and let me hear the feedback about the new site, I love hearing from you all! Thanks to everyone who visits and make sure you keep visiting because this is going to be an exciting year for TY, I can feel it!
