I'm a firm
believer that a paint scheme isn't complete until
the driver, pit crew, and pit wagon is completed.
Honestly, these are commonly overlooked by most
painters, taking the big sigh of relief as they
finish the car or truck paint. Of the three, the
driver is the most difficult largely due to the
small size on the template. But keeping in mind the
advice of a trusted friend - "go big", I created a
template just to paint the drivers.
The template
contains the work of Brian Simpson, enlarged 400%
and layered. To use the template, add layers above
the base layer for your suit and helmet backgrounds,
stripes, designs, and logos. Once everything is in
place, hide everything but the layers you've created
and merge all unhidden layers. Then copy and paste
your image into the car or truck template, resized
at 25%.
