Also uploaded, and added to the Games Section, is a Puyo Pop trick from Emerson, which can be directly accessed via This link. Thanks everyone!

ARGHH!!
Due to some terrible network problems lastnight, we were not able to post any of the updates promised! Drat. Ahh well, such is life on the 'web. Since it's a tad late right now (sorry everyone), we'll just add the following...
Big Tournament Golf's score card
On a trip to Japanese Bookstore Kinokuniya today, Sector: NGP picked up a recent issue of Weekly Famitsu (famous [infamous?] as one of the harshest game mags on the planet). Big Tournament Golf (Neo Turf Masters) was reviewed in the issue, and scored 6, 7, 6, 6 for a total of 25/40. For those who are unaware, Weekly Famitsu's 4 reviewers rank each game on a scale of 1-10, and then all 4 scores are added together. Big Tournament Golf's score of 25 is quite good, especially considering its a handheld game, and being reviewed by one of the toughest mags around.
General Updates
The Software Info Section and the Coming Soon section have been updated to reflect all known dates and other such info.

When ya don't got content...Make it!
Ahh, well. There hasn't been much worth updating about lately, but we're back. Along with a new Editorial by Torture.
Forum Troubles
As you might have noticed, the forum has been removed from the front page, and is inaccessible for posting. We'll have a new forum up soon, so don't worry.
Golfing enjoyment awaits!
Neo Turf Masters, aka Big Tournament Golf is now officially available in the US and Japan, bug free. We've heard from a few gamers lucky enough to have it, that it is very fun.
Reminder
If you've submitted something within the past week or so, and it has yet to be posted, don't feel shafted...it'll get posted tonight. ^_^ We're a bit behind, so please bear with us.

Blue is back!
Well folks, here we go! 1st screens of Sonic for Neo Geo Pocket, directly from SNK. Although we were told the screens are taken from a very early copy of the Japanese version, the graphics are already looking impressive, and it seems to retain the classic Sonic look. Forget Sonic Adventure on Dreamcast...because this December, Sonic is back...the way he was meant to be played, in 2D!

Retail Delays
Sector: NGP has just learned from SNK that the following titles have been delayed. And here's why.
Neo Turf Masters
Delayed: About a week or two. Possibly will be out early next week.
Reason: At the last minute, a glitch was found, so the problem is quickly being fixed. We assume this is also why the Japanese version has yet to show up at any importers.
Crush Roller
Delayed: About a week as well. Likely ship at the same time as Neo Turf Masters
Reason: The retail version of Crush Roller (and forthcoming Pacman) will come packed with a "ring" that goes over the control pad, to make vertical and horizontal movement easier. The delay is so that this accessory can be packed in.
Neo Geo Cup Plus and Puyo Pop
Delayed: Until at least the 1st week of September
Reason: Sound glitches
Other News
The Magic Box has announced that, long time SNK rival Atlus, is currently developing software for the Neo Geo Pocket. Rather shocking news, considering the long time rivalry, and legal battle over Sticker machines betwen the two companies. First Capcom...now Atlus...amazing how the NGP brings enemies together. Shall we cross our fingers for Princess Crown Pocket?
New Review
A new review of KOF R-2, by Sunboy, has been added to the Games section. Thanks!

Actually, editors Torture and Substance J have both been far too busy playing their new copies of Samurai Shodown 2, to do any work at all! Hopefully both new sections will be online by Sunday. Retail-Unitron
As part of our continued coverage of the upcoming Retail launch of the Neo Geo Pocket Color, we'd like to take this opportunity to let you know that the suddenly popular RPG, Bibomotor Unitron, should be hitting store shelves around mid to late August. More dates and titles will be posted here soon.
Enhancement Saga
As you've noticed, over the past few weeks we've been making 'Phantom updates,' and little enhancements here and there that you might not even notice. Well, today's project is the Software Availability page, which has been split into two parts (North America and Asia) for easier and more effective viewing.

A Samurai Shodown! 2 FAQ, by Sunboy, has been added to the Games section

English Biomotor Sneaks into Tronix
A usual visit to Tronix's what's new page turned into quite a shock today. Late in the afternoon, Tronix updated saying, among other things, that English versions Puyo Pop and...get this...Biomotor Unitron are NOW IN STOCK. Though we were (and still are) very freaked out and rather skeptical, it seems that English Biomotor Unitron, which had been planned for a September/October US release, is indeed in stock. Very unexpected.
As usual...Other Stuff
Still doing HTML work and so forth. The links section has been removed for updating. It will be back up, eventually.

The Fascinating World of HTML!
...or not. Well, nothing *really* interesting today, but the Hardware section has been completed with token specs and such, though there are some cool pics of the units (if anyone has the official SNK of Japan Platinum Silver (monochrome) unit .gif on their HD, please send it to us) and so forth. All staff reviews have also been updated to reflect our new email addresses, etc. Until something interesting happens in the world of Neo Geo Pocket, we'll just continue with HTML and design work (reviews are always welcome *wink wink*)
