Updates
Some random updates tonight include the Coming Soon section, which has been updated with the name of the developer of Nigeronpa (much thanks to G Dash for the translation!). The Software Data page has been updated as well, now that Ogre Battle has been released.
Notice
Hey, substance J here. I just want to mention that this will probably be the last update for at least a week, since I will be traveling and unable to access the 'net. Any email and submissions will be attended to when I return. Thanks!

A very special editorial...
We've been pondering and discussing our thoughts about the SNK closures for what feels like months now, but it is time for us to sum up our opinions in one definitive article - The end of an era: a cruel look at what we missed. In this feature we discuss Aruze's shutdown of international operations and other related issues, most notably, the great software that many of us will never play. Interspersed throughout the 4 page editorial you'll find previews and thoughts on Dynamite Slugger, The Last Blade, Faselei!, Evolution, Wrestling Madness, Biomotor Unitron 2 and the MP3 unit. Please take a look by clicking the link in this paragraph or checking out the Editorials section.
New FAQs
A new Faselei! strategy guide by Greng and updates to Z-Force's Match of the Millennium and Card Fighter's Clash FAQs have been added to the Games section.

New Reviews
These reviews would have been up a few days ago, but PG&E just happens to blow, and whenever it gets hot in San Jose, the power invariably goes out. Um, anyway, 2 new reviews! - substance J's Cotton review and a Biomotor Unitron review by Brett Buchness have both been added to the newly revamped Games section. More, well, stuff to be added soon. Assuming things don't go black again.

Reviews and FAQs
The Games section has been updated with brand new reviews of Cotton and King of Fighters R-2 by Bluefour, and the great Metal Slug 2 Hostage FAQ by Bandit. Additional reviews and FAQs will be added soon.
Aruze Kills US Support
As the majority of NGPC gamers have read by now, SNK USA has been abruptly shut down. We were still skeptical of this news up until this past Saturday when we spoke with SNK's PR firm. It is indeed true, and it was totally unexpected by SNK employees. On this coming Monday or Tuesday, SNK Entertainment will be meeting with retailers and making an official announcement on the situation. Very sad indeed. To check out substance J and Torture's opinion on this along with a brief rundown of confirmed facts, check out this Thread (or virtually any other post) on the forum.
New FAQ
A brand new Last Blade FAQ written by L.S.D has been added to the Games section.
US Support to Crash?
Gamefan Online today posted an article entitled "SNK of America Nearing Collapse?" This story speculates on possible troubles at SNK USA such as employee departures and lackluster NGPC sales.
We're skeptical of this implied breakup for a number of reasons, most notably SNK USA's recent business changes and ambitious fall release schedule. SNK USA revamped their corporate identity (whatever *that* means. you wouldn't know it from looking at their website..) and moved from San Jose to Torrance California to further this process. Considering SNK USA's agressive pushing of the system, the formidable software and peripheral lineup for the rest of the year, and extremely positive response from the media and gamers alike, it doesn't make much sense for SNK USA to roll over before they've really gotten started. Then again, this is SNK USA we're talking about. Hopefully our optimism isn't blind.
Other Bits
The News of May has been archived and is accessible via the link below. Yawn. More game coverage from Neo Geo Freak will be added soon, as well as some FAQs, etc.
