Graphic
update
For
most equipment files you will need a graphic update. All graphic
for Panzer General II is found in the big file Panzer2.dat.
Since it seams
somewhat hard for new people, to PGII, to add new graphic (doing
it with the Fred Chlanda tool), I have made a icon upgrade. Its a
simply program that requires you to locate the Panzer2.dat file
and it does the rest for you. This program adds all the graphic to
the Panzer2.dat file. It does not add ANY equipment file - ONLY
the graphic.
The Datup has now
been split in two, due to the ever increasing size. Part I and
Part II. Part I will remains as it is now, and not change until
Part II reaches its size, - which will hopefully be a while - but
you never know with these icon dudes :). So you will have to download Part I only one time,
and whenever the Datup gets modified you will need to download
Part II, which will be the one that changes.
Part I is a full 43mb Panzer.dat file, containing 5000+ icons.
Part II is an update and works only on a Part I panzer2.dat file.
- there is currently no available Datup Part II
Sound
update
For most new equipment
files a sound upgrade is also needed. This upgrade contains all
sound needed for most new Efile. This upgrade will update your
Panzer General II installation to contain all new sound used by
all equipment files that can be use with the DATUP graphic
upgrade.
Installation is simple, locate your SFX directory in your Panzer
General II main directory, and install the new sound. And you are
ready. It should be noted that you will not hear any new sound,
unless the equipment file you use, use them. So adding this sound
update and using ex. the original SSI equipment file, you will not
hear any new sound.

Equipment
file
Here are the links to
the actual equipment files.
The equipment file are the
equip97.txt and equip97.eqp file found in the main Panzer2
directory. These file will have a *.DEU extension in the German
version and *.FRA in the French version.
To install a equipment file all you
have to do is put those two new file in your main Panzer2
directory, they will then overwrite the original one. You might
want to backup the original one first.
Please note some equipment files
cannot be downloaded without there corresponding graphic. That
means you might not be able to download the equip97.txt,
equip97.eqp and Gui97.txt (sometimes only the two equip97.*) only,
but need to download the graphic also, cause its packed in one zip
file. This is the same graphic as the Datup upgrade.
The Datup upgrade should contain
all the graphic required, if it don't let me know.

General II. This is direct links.
