Long weekend... - 23:15 EST
I'm leaving for a long weekend trip tomorrow morning.  While I'll be able to update the site from where I'll be in case anything big happens (like the demo coming out), I'm not going to go out of my way to spend much vacation time on a computer, so don't be surprised if things are quiet here until next Monday night.  Anyway, with those two sites that just went live the demo should be especially hard to miss, if you're keeping an eye out for it.

DeWulfIndustrial.com is live! - 20:13 EST
Shade747's DeWulf Industrial fan site has also gone live today.  It's looking good, and it sounds like what's there now is just the beginning.  Another site that you should definitely be checkin out.

MoonBaseCommander.com is live! - 13:40 EST
The official MoonBase Commander site is now live and it's loaded with plenty of good-looking goodness.  Definitely check it out.

Site news!
- 20:07 EST
A big thanks to StrategyPlanet (of The GameSpy Network) for now hosting this site!

I must also thank Patrick Wylie (the game's producer), Rhett Mathis (the game's lead designer and lead programmer), and the rest of the people at Humongous Entertainment for their great support of this site since its birth.  Thanks to them, and this great new host, the site is now much better off than it would have been otherwise, and hopefully that means it'll be more useful to all you current and future MoonBase Commander fans.

Unit guide, map packs, screenshots, and more... - 20:07 EST
The site has also been updated a bit with the move...

My Unit Guide is now up.  It's not terribly exciting, but I hope that it describes each unit well enough for you to understand precisely how they all work.  And it's got fancy little pictures of some units, woo.

There are two new map packs available to help map makers.  Though they might sound odd until you get your hands on the game yourself and try the map editor, and you certainly don't want to actually play on them, they can definitely be handy starting points for making new maps.

I've put up some screenshots with brief descriptions.  You might even learn a little something from the last three, if you're new to the game or haven't yet read Zauron's awesome MoonBase Commander FAQ.

The site should now look non-messed in non-IE browsers.  If you ever dropped by with Opera before then you know what I mean.  If you ever notice anything looking wrong in whatever browser please let me know and I'll try to fix it.  This isn't NiceCo, but I'll still try to be friendly :)

The Introduction is still heavily under construction, and my Strategy Guide is still just "Coming soon...", so stay tuned.  Actually, stay tuned more for the MoonBase Commander news while you're at it, as it's not long now until the game's release.  And you never know when the demo might hit us...

Launching guide, and more to come...
- 17:45 EST
The first of my own MoonBase Commander guides, a Launching Guide, is online.  And as you can see from the site's new menu items, there's more in the works.

Forums and more fan site goodness on the way...
- 23:45 EST
Shades747 sent word that, though still under construction, his MoonBase Commander forums are live.  The forums are an extension of his own MoonBase Commander fan site, DeWulf Industrial, which he hopes to have ready in a few days (I'll mention it again with a link when it's up).

Gone gold.
- 12:25 EST
MoonBase Commander has gone gold.  I'd guess that means the August 13 shipping date is pretty firm.  Just about a month now until the fun begins :)

Map/Replay Importer/Exporter + Guide update.
- 18:24 EST
At Zauron's home page you'll find his new MoonBase Commander Map/Replay import utility, which is a great tool that every MoonBase Commander player should have.  The game will automatically download custom maps if needed (when you join a multiplayer game hosted on a map you don't have), but otherwise sharing custom maps and replays wouldn't be a simple task if it weren't for Zauron's new utility.  Thanks, Zauron!

Zauron also updated his great MoonBase Commander Guide to include information about his new utility (along with a few other minor updates).  And don't forget about his handy MoonBase Commander Direct TCP/IP game launcher, also available at his site.

Changes and stuff.
- 16:25 EST
There isn't much going on in the world of MoonBase Commander yet, but since I tinkered with the site's look I felt like writing something too.

The shipping date was changed to August 13.  I know some of you may have been a little excited a few weeks ago when the shipping date used to be a couple weeks ago, and maybe you're a little bummed about the delay.  Just trust me, if you're interested enough that you somehow found this site, it's worth any waiting you're doing.

I hope to translate some of my experiences with the game into helpful guides, so check back here now and then for updates and stuff.
