Page 9 - Visiting Other Towns

Have friends also playing Animal Crossing and you'd like to visit their town? Have 2 of your own towns and want to go back and forth between? Well, Animal Crossing lets you do just that.

On The Road Again
To visit another town, make sure the memory card with the town you want to visit is in Slot B (as Animal Crossing will by default always load the town from Slot A). When you're all set to go, talk to Porter at the Train Station.

When on the train you'll have to talk to Rover again for a short time. Or, occasional you'll meet Blanka who will let you draw her a new face. None of this will have any effect on anything other then Blanka occasional visiting your town and everyone will see the face you drew for her.

When in the other town, you'll be able to do all the same stuff you could in your own town. You'll be able to talk to all the villigers, shop at Nook's, mail letters at the post office... all that stuff. If you need help getting around, you'll also be able to grab a map of the town at the Police Office (which you'll be able to find from the map at the Train Station).

When your ready to come back home, talk to Porter again at the train station. And rememeber that if you reset instead of taking the train back, you'll lose all the items in your pocket and bells you were carring when you start your game back up.

Moving Out
Every time you visit another town, one of the animals that live in your town will move to the one you visited. In the same way, when ever some one visits your town, an animal from their town will move to yours.

There are exceptions to this, though. If a town has only 5 animals living in it, none will move out. Also, if a town has as many as 15 animals living in it, none will move in.
