The Jacuzzi Job
by: The Button Man | January 1, 2003

[Jump to: Basement Killing | The Graveyard Shift | The Jacuzzi Job]

Ah, the pinnacle of the Malaysian levels is ahead of you, so you can start looking forward to one which is considered by many to be almost the best in the game. It's almost a shame that it's so short a level (10 minutes is a long time to take over this level!), but it does let you assassinate yet another unlucky fellow whilst indulging in the rituals of cleaning. At least we don't get an eyeful of a pair of Speedos this time. So, on to the "bonus" mission - time to kill the twin.

The only similarity between this guy and his sibling are his looks. He's an extremely rich playboy with a taste for, shall we say, less salubrious but extremely expensive women (who also happen to like guns). And to match his tastes, the client wants a little bit of a special job done on him. You are to make this look like a burglary gone wrong - not only must you kill him, but you must also empty his safe and steal a valuable statue. All in a nights work!

Load-Out

You probably picked up the nightvision and silenced 9mm from the lockers in the previous level - both are extremely helpful in knocking of the twin. But more likely, you already had the 9mm SD in the first place, and in case you forgot it, nightvision is conveniently laying around as coffee table decor.

Walkthrough

Now this is a pad! Tall windows, classy wall decorations, a grand piano, and an absolute mass of security. Check your map - there is only one civilian on the map (of a maximum potential of two). You start on a thin ledge at the southwestern most side of the apartment. Your target is directly to your left, but don't bother trying to shoot him. The only bullet proof glass in the level is surrounding that room, so it would most likely be a bit of a waste in time. Instead, crouch down and make your way along the edge (you can hope across, but I prefer the timing this way), round the first balcony, and round the window with the piano.

When you approach the next (central) balcony, check your map. There should be no guards nearby. Approach the barrier, and climb over it. Hide behind the western doors (south side) in sneak mode, and wait. Check your map. The guard who patrols the eastern side of the map arrives on the balcony through these doors, and immediately heads for the eastern doors. When he arrives, give him a second to start towards the doors, and then pop a bullet in the back of his head. Drag his body into the northern corner of the balcony, and take his clothes.

Now you have a disguise, check that no guards are nearby, and enter through the eastern doors. To your right, in the lower section, is a table with some night vision goggles. Pick these up, then return to the center of the room, go up the stairs, and head east again, towards the double doors at the end.

Note the statue behind some lasers to your left. When you go through the doors, you will find yourself on the eastern most of the balconies with some doors to the north. Enter here and take a look at the room. When you are ready, walk north, over to the set of doors on the western wall. Head through, then straight through the door opposite. You are now in the fuse room.

[Save Game]

Typical millionaires - they spend all their money on beauty and forget the practicalities. 47 can bust the fuse box in here with no problems. When the lights go out, put on those annoying nightvision goggles and head back to the previous room, open the safe (this takes a moment), and remove the money. Close up, and then leave by the southern doors, back to the balcony. Head west back into the main room, and pick up the statue, then retrace your steps to the "safe" room. Wait here for the technician to arrive and follow him into the fuse room. He quickly repairs the fuse. Wait for him to leave on the lift and then kill the lights again.

[Save Game]

You should now head along the northern corridor, avoiding any guards, until you reach the Jacuzzi room. Hopefully, the young ladies will still be sitting by the Jacuzzi. Crouch down, and edge left until you can see Charlie's head. Wait until the technician arrives, pop a bullet in the target's head, and run back to the lift. If the ladies have been here for a while, you can wait behind the screen opposite the door (in sneak mode) until they leave, then slit the target's throat, heading immediately (and quietly) for the exit point. Mission complete!
