Dy-no-mite!
substance J's new review of Dynamite Slugger has been added to the Games section, a bit late but just as wordy and texty and such. With so little news to report, we'll try to keep updates more frequent with reviews. Or filler, either way...

Big Bang is Back
It appears that SNK made a phantom update to their software section recently. The good news is that SNK2000's (?) Big Bang Pro Wrestling is back on the release charts, if a bit later than announced previously. The game is currently listed for release in October, with an exact date yet to be mentioned. SNK still hasn't put out any official screens of the game, though you can check out grabs from the version shown at E3 in our Preview.

New Reviews
A myriad of new reviews (ok, 4) by Sweater Fish (and Opa Opa) have been added to the Games section today, delving into the more obscure regions of the NGPC's library. Never did we expect to post Casino series coverage...

Software 8-Ball Says: Outlook Not So Good
While doing some routine browsing today, we decided to make an overdue scan of the official Japanese NGPC homepage. No new game screens were found (unless you consider Aruze's latest PachiSlot title an actual form of entertainment), but the official release list was recently updated (8.31.00). The NGPC's demise is all but confirmed by looking over the latest release schedule, which now boasts only two titles (both of which are 3rd party projects). Even Big Bang Pro Wrestling has been removed from the list, just a week before its planned release. The current schedule in full:

    Neo Freak Report
The current issue of Neo Geo Freak was added to the S:NGP library of geekdom during the past week. Features include Capcom vs. SNK character profiles, KOF 2000 move lists and a handful of other cool bits, but very scant NGPC coverage. A Rockman Battle & Fighters strategy guide and small Delta Warp overview are the only notable offerings, made stranger by the mysterious absence of the NGPC release schedule. One would expect a preview of Big Bang Pro Wrestling (to be released in 11 days), but go figure. Oh well...one can't really complain - there are many stylish Cosplayers to ogle in the mean time!

    Omake! Update
Syxx Pac has indeed returned from the dead, and created a new Gals Fighter midi. It's available in the audio department of the Omake section, or by simply clicking here.

    New FAQs
GalFord has submitted his collection of NGPC fighting game combo FAQs in Gals' Fighters, King of Fighters R-2 and Match of the Millennium flavors, all of which can be found in the Games section's appropreiate areas.
