Visiting the Wishing Well will give you the chance to learn the condition of your town. What does it matter? Well, animals are more likely to move to a good town, and more likely to move out of a bad one. Also, a good town will give you better luck. If that weren't enough, keeping your town perfect for 15 days and the well will give you a Golden Axe which will never break.

Unfortunently, nobody who works and lives in your town will help you out.

Perfect Town
To get the perfect town, there are several conditions your town must meet.

- You have to be carefull considering the placement of trees. They can't be next to other trees or buildings (if you can walk all the way around the tree, it's ok).

- In every acre except beach acres, the Town Square acre, the Wishing Well acre, the Museam acre, and the lake acre, every acre must have somewhere between 9 - 16 trees.

- You must pick weeds whenever possable (dead saplings count as weeds). You can get away with a few (3 per acre, 30 in the whole town), but it doesn't take many to push your town to imperfect.

- You can't have trash anywhere in your town at all. Not even in the dump (just give it to Tom).

- Flowers and Golden Trees help to improve your town, but aren't nessesary.

Wishing Well
The Wishing Well will give you hints on how to make your town better. Most messages come right out and tell you the problem, such as "there is very little green" means that there are too few trees (less then 9) in an acre, and "trees are a thing of extraordinary beauty" means that there are to many trees (more then 16) in an acre.

He'll also mention when there's a weed problem in your town, but he usualy won't mention the specific acre the problem is in.

"Things aren't too bad...but with just a little more care and attention, everything would be much, much better."

This mean your town isn't quite up to par yet. You probably have some tree positioning problems and possably more weeds then you should.

"Yes...yes. Things feel as they should. This is certainly a satisfactory level of prosperity...but with just a little more effort, things could be even better."

This means your town is nearly perfect. Look around and count trees and make sure they're postioned properly.

"Everything is perfect! [Your Town] is a very livable place."

You've made it! Your town is perfect. Keep an eye on the weeds for the next 2 weeks and you'll have your Golden Axe in no time.
