NCAA 2001

Woah! There are very few roms which amaze me, but this one...well, woah! It's a college version of TSB I for the SNES. As you can see from the graphics basically everything has been edited. The helmets, the team fonts, the endzones, midfield - EVERYTHING. Someone definitely put a lot of effort into this rom. The stats are kind of juiced, which is both good and bad. It plays a lot faster, and since TSB for the SNES always seemed kind of slower to me that's a good thing. On the down side some guys are so good it's really not fair - I blocked an XP with Julius Peppers before the kicker had a chance to have his arrow pop up. There are other issues, too: the schedule is unedited, some of the player races are wrong, but overall it's solid and definitely worth downloading. It's a big step forward in SNES TSB editing that's for sure. Try it for yourself, as far as I know it's the only college rom for the Super Nintendo, but it's also probably the best looking Tecmo hack I've seen to date. You gotta give credit where it's due and the team behind this excellent rom is JG Games. Hopefully this is not the last one we'll see from them. Click here to download it.
