Vidarr Location: Martel Temple HP: 4000 TP: 30 Gald: 25 Exp: 115 Rewards: Life Bottle Try to avoid attacking Vidarr closely. Use long range attacks, like Lloyd's Demon Fang. Block and dodge Vidarr's attacks as much as you can. Vidarr has the ability to knock you off your feet. Press "X" to do a backflip in mid-air, which will get you back on your feet. Keep an eye on Colette and Genis' health, as it will go down fast if they are near Vidarr. After a while a new party member, Kratos, will show up and help. Kratos has the ability First Aid, which will heal you. Use that skill whenever someone's health is low, and attack all out with Lloyd. It should not be too long until Vidarr will go down. Exbelua Location: Iselia HP: 5000 TP: 38 Gald: 320 Exp: 280 Rewards: Panacea Bottle Exbelua's attacks are extremely strong, so be careful around her. Combo as much as you can on her and do not give her a chance to attack. Genis should stay away from her and use his spells. If she begins to attack you, block as soon as you can. When Exbelua reaches around half of her hit points, she will start using stronger attacks. When this happens, try to stay away from Exbelua and rely on long distance spells and skills. Eventually, Exbelua will go down. Botta Location: Sylvarant Base HP: 4200 TP: 224 Gald: 1500 Exp: 475 Rewards: Poison Charm Botta's attacks are just brute force, and can do heavy damage. Eliminate Botta's henchmen first, and do not counter Botta if he starts attacking you while you are dealing with his henchmen. After his henchmen are gone, have Lloyd directly confront Botta, and the rest of the party focus on dealing out spells and skills. When Botta begins to use magic, back away, and wait for him to stop using magic. Botta should go down. Ktugach Location: Triet Ruins HP: 5000 TP: 628 Gald: 85 Exp: 628 Rewards: Red Quartz Make sure not to use any fire-based magic on Ktugach and its minions. First target the Ktugachlings, and do not give them an opening to attack. Raine or Kratos should focus on healing. After dealing with the minions, attack all out on Ktugach. Be careful when it attacks though, because it has very powerful fire magic. Be sure to have a few life bottles hand in this battle, and you will be fine. Clumsy Assassin / Guardian Wind Location: Ossa Trail HP: 1800/2000 TP: 131/400 Gald: 128/250 Exp: 200/250 Rewards: Holy Bottle/Magic Lens Since the assassin is weaker one of the pair, deal with her first. They both have no real weakness, so just go all out with your strongest attacks. Make sure to have either Raine or Kratos in this battle, so that they can heal anyone with low hit points. The assassin likes to use a spell called Pyre Seal, which will knock you out. After the assassin is taken care of, attack the Guardian. The battle should be easier since the assassin is gone. Kilia Location: Palmacosta HP: 10000 TP: 400 Gald: 500 Exp: 500 Rewards: Heal Bracelet Whether you face Kilia or Magnius is entirely up to you, but since Kilia is a bit more difficult than Magnius, I chose to fight her instead. Her attacks can be powerful and annoying. If you do not want to deal with being attacked after attacking her, use Lloyd's technique Beast. Colette's Angel Feathers help a lot against Kilia, and have Raine cast her defensive spells and Photon if she has it. The battle is long, but eventually Kilia will go down. Magnius Location: Palmacosta Human Ranch HP: 8500 TP: 120 Gald: 1700 Exp: 675 Rewards: Warrior Symbol, EX Gem Lv1 Most of Magnius' attacks are fire-based, as you will quickly find out. First, dispatch the henchmen, like always. Raine should be healing and using Photon, if she has it. Genis should stay back and cast his powerful spells, and Kratos should be helping attack the enemies with Lloyd. All though Magnius has powerful melee attacks and fire magic, he should be a bit easier than Kilia. Just remember to keep up your hit points, and Magnius should go down quickly. Adulocia Location: Temple of Water HP: 10000 TP: 248 Gald: 765 Exp: 825 Rewards: Mermaid's Tear First, focus on Adulocia's underlings, the two Amphitras. They both have 2300 hit points, so use Genis' fire and lightning techniques to eliminate them. After both of the Amphitras are taken care of, take down Adulocia. Raine or Kratos should be focused on healing, while Genis is dealing out the magic attacks. Lloyd should be attacking Adulocia head on. After a while, Adulocia should go down. Windmaster Location: Asgard HP: 10000 TP: 220 Gald: 800 Exp: 1325 Rewards: Map of Balacruf, Talisman Windmaster may be alone, but it is extremely powerful. Now is a good time to use those defensive spell Kratos taught you at Triet Ruins. Make sure that Raine is healing and using her defensive magic. Kratos is a good choice in this battle too, so that he can help out healing and attacking. Genis and Kratos should not use any wind-based magic in this battle. Lloyd should use his melee attacks against Windmaster. After a while, Windmaster will go down. Iapyx Location: Balacruf Mausoleum HP: 14000 TP: 88 Gald: 2000 Exp: 1324 Rewards: Paralyze Charm, Spirit Bangle Wind and lightning-based magic or techniques are useless in this battle. Iapyx is deadly at close range, so attack from far away. Use all other types of magic and skills against Iapyx besides wind and lightning-based ones. Colette and Raine should attack with their light-based magic and skills, like Photon and Angel Feathers. If Kratos is in the battle, he should be helping Lloyd attack. Raine should heal when needed. Once Iapyx hits the 2000 hit points range, use all your best melee attacks, and it should go down. Resolute Assassin / Guardian Lightning Location: Balacruf Mausoleum HP: 5500/4500 TP: 400/164 Gald: 250/450 Exp: 250/300 Rewards: Dark Bottle, Fine Pellet, Magic Lens The assassin has returned, and this time with a new guardian. Use the same strategy you did before, except do not use lightning or wind-based skills or magic. This battle should be easy, compared with the battle against Iapyx. Kvar Location: Asgard Human Ranch HP: 10000 TP: 340 Gald: 1500 Exp: 1680 Rewards: Holy Ring, EX Gem Lv1 First, take care of the three energy stones, each with 5500 hit points. Raine should be healing if you brought her into the battle. If you have Sheena, have her fighting along side Lloyd, since she is a good melee fighter. Genis should be using all of his strong techniques, and Kratos should be casting healing moves and helping attack Kvar. Colette is not a very good choice in this battle, so leave her out. Do not use any lightning or wind-based magic or techniques in this battle, since it will have no effect here. Avoid Kvar's Spark Wave as much as you can. Iubaris Location: Tower of Mana HP: 16800 TP: 500 Gald: 2000 Exp: 2650 Rewards: Brass Avoid using Genis in this battle, because Iubaris is resistant to fire, lightning, and ice-based magic and skills. Raine should heal whenever neccessary, and not use Photon. Colette's Holy Song is useful for decreasing damage taken to your party. Kratos or Sheena should be using melee attacks alongside Lloyd. Use defensive spells like Guardian as much as you can against Iubaris' powerful attacks like Gravity well. Iubaris can also knock you off your feet, so remember to press "X" to do a backflip. Undine Location: Thoda Geyser HP: 13000 TP: 320 Gald: 765 Exp: 2110 Rewards: Guardian Symbol Undine is a good melee fighter and spell-caster, somewhat similar to Kratos. Avoid using water-based magic and skills, as it will have no effect on Undine. Sheena and Lloyd should attack Undine as much as possible, while avoiding Undine's powerful attacks. Genis is useful here with his lightning-based magic. Raine should be healing and casting defensive magic. Undine should not pose much of a threat against you though, and Undine will quickly fall. Sylph (Fairess/Yutis/Sephie) Location: Balacruf Mausoleum HP: 6190/6480/7320 TP: 250/80/220 Gald: 285/290/320 Exp: 690/770/880 Rewards: Saffron, Sage, Savory This battle is very tough. The best strategy against Sylph is to take them down one by one. Raine is a must in this battle. They are all resistant to wind-based attacks, so take off all the wind spells for Genis. Sephie has a sword, Fairess has a shield, and Yutis has a bow. Take out Fairess first, since she has the most TP and the lowest HP. Next, focus on Sephie, who deals a good amount of damage. Last, take out Yutis with your melee fighters, as they will interupt her shooting. She teleports, so just run after her. Efreet Location: Triet Ruins HP: 18000 TP: 850 Gald: 945 Exp: 2187 Rewards: Attack Symbol First, take off any fire-based magic or skills from your party. Lloyd should be using his tempest techniques. Sheena's card combos are effective here. Raine or Kratos should be healing as much as they can. Efreet has many powerful fire-based attacks, such as Raging Mist, Explosion, etc. Just combo up on him as much as you can, and have Genis cast ice-based magic. Efreet will go down fairly quick. Remiel Location: Tower of Salvation HP: 16000 TP: 258 Gald: 1840 Exp: 1397 Rewards: EX Gem Lv1, Rune Bottle Remiel's attacks are all arrows and light spells. Do not use light-based magic or skills here, so you may as well disable Raine's Photon right now. Priority here is to defend Remiel's attacks and to stop him from casting spells by comboing on him. He will teleport all around the battle field, so run after him while avoiding his attacks. Raine should only heal and cast defensive spells, and Genis should be casting his powerful spells. Sheena should be fighting along side Lloyd trying to interupt Remiel's spell-casting. Be sure to keep up your health, even toward the end of the battle. Kratos Aurion Location: Tower of Salvation HP: 22500 TP: 1500 Gald: 2900 Exp: 1968 Rewards: EX Gem Lv3, Life Bottle Kratos is a hard foe to defeat, and you will definitely find it hard to survive here. Your two main goals here are to defend and to interupt his spell-casting. Kratos will show off some new techniques you may not have seen before if you did not train him high enough. If Kratos does not pursuit you, he is casting a spell. Kratos cast spells extremely fast and it is hard to cause him to stagger. Keep your HP and TP up as high as you can. Do not hesitate to use items. Use some of your high comboing techniques like Sword Rain, Sheena's seals, and Genis' more powerful spells. Always keep Raine healing and using items. If you get him down to the few thousands, Kratos will get desperate and cast even faster and cause more damage. By that time, your objective is to survive. Remember, you do not have to win this fight, but you might want to get the experience he gives you after he is defeated. Yggdrasil Location: Tower of Salvation HP: 40000 TP: 3000 Gald: 0 Exp: 3000 Rewards: None Do not bother fighting, as you will be defeating in the end. He has incredibly strong light-based spells that will make short work of you. Just one hit can cause 1000 damage. You do not have to beat him, because either way, he will end up winning. Pronyma Location: Fooji Mountains HP: 18000 TP: 750 Gald: 1500 Exp: 3000 Rewards: Rosemary, EX Gem Lv 2 Do not underestimate her, Pronyma is a good combat fighter as well as a spell-caster. Light-based skills are a must here, since she is based off of darkness. Raine is a wise choice for this battle with her defensive magic and Photon. Colette is helpful too, just make her stay back and cast Angel Feathers and Judgement. The fourth fighter is up to you. Pronyma's attacks do resemble some of your character's attacks, like Leonazium is a version of Lloyd and Presea's Beast. Just use a combination of melee and magic, and this battle won't be too hard. Convict Location: Gaoracchia Forest HP: 12000 TP: 320 Gald: 1500 Exp: 2250 Rewards: Elixir Watch out for this guy's combos, they are deadly. Never let him get close to your spell-casters, that will destroy your chances of winning. First off, chose another melee person besides Lloyd; either Zelos or Presea preferrably. Genis can cast all his powerful spells, and Raine should be healing and casting defensive spells. It is hard to make the Convict stagger, so just keep dealing out the combos. Defense System Location: Toize Valley Mine HP: 12000 TP: 100 Gald: 0 Exp: 2350 Rewards: Metal Sphere Your first target is the Auto-Repair Unit, that is in the center. It will send out countless Raybits if you do not deal with it now. After you have taken out the Auto-Repair unit, attack the remaining Raybits. After taking care of the Raybits, attack the Defense System. As you attack the Defense System, huge mechanical arms may start attacking you. They may not seem to do too much damage, but still be careful around them. Volt Location: Temple of Lightning HP: 24000 TP: 240 Gald: 3580 Exp: 2250 Rewards: Emerald Ring Since Sheena is required in this battle, just use Seal combos or a summon if she is in Over Limit mode. Lloyd should try to interupt Volt from casting. Genis is a good choice here, as he has powerful water spells, Volt's weakness. Be very careful around Volt's spells, they are very deadly. Volt has attacks like Thunder Blade, Spark Wave, and other lightning-based magic. When Volt is low on HP, he will start using more powerful attacks, including one that can down anyone in your party. But after a while, you will defeat Volt. Yuan/Botta Location: Tethe'alla Base HP: 16000/12000 TP: 65/580 Gald: 3550/2800 Exp: 4890/1680 Rewards: EX Gem Lv 4 Yuan and Botta both are hard bosses to defeat. Yuan's dual-bladed sword is devastating if it breaks your combo, and Botta is still casting his earth-based techniques. First, team up on Botta. Zelos is a must for this battle, because he should be gaining more powerful techniques. Genis should be casting spells, and Raine should be healing. Do not let Yuan or Botta get to your spell-casters. Yuan likes to use lightning-based techniques which are very powerful. Try to lure Yuan away from your spell casters after you have dealt with Botta. Do not hesitate to use items. Winged Dragon/Baby Dragon x2 Location: Dragon's Nest HP: 18000/12000 TP: 400/800 Gald: 1200/500 Exp: 2450/1250 Rewards: Venon, Flare Cape Do not come here unprepared or you will face a lot of difficulty. Focus on the Baby Dragons first, since they will be a pain to deal with later. Regal's aerial kicks should come in handy, and throw Presea and Zelos in there as well. Do not bring in any spell-casters, because they will not survive a minute with these dragons. Combo up on the Baby Dragons as much as you can, and watch out for the Winged Dragon, who will poke out its head out of nowhere. After dealing with the Baby Dragons, focus your attacks on Winged Dragon. The battle should become easier with the Baby Dragons out of the way. Gnome Location: Temple of Earth HP: 28000 TP: 682 Gald: 4280 Exp: 2945 Rewards: Holy Symbol First off, summon Sylph as soon as you can, as wind is Gnome's weakness. Genis has powerful wind magic, so keep him in this battle. Gnome's attacks consist of earth spells and pounding the ground with his massive body. Do not be under him when he attacks you. Keep an eye on Genis' health, as it will go down faster than the others. Celcius/Fenrir Location: Temple of Ice HP: 18000/12000 TP: 600/300 Gald: 1380/5800 Exp: 5120/2600 Rewards: Blue Quartz, Spirit Symbol Getting rid of Fenrir makes the battle a whole lot easier. Keep Genis in this battle and deal out the fire spells to make short work of Fenrir. Have Sheena summon Efreet whenever she can, otherwise she can use her Seal combos. Zelos is perfect for this battle, since Celcius and Fenrir are both weak to fire and lightning. After Fenrir is dispatched, take care of Celcius. She is a dangerous melee and spell-caster, so watch out. Rodyle Location: Remote Island Human Ranch HP: 35000 TP: 500 Gald: 5800 Exp: 6250 Rewards: N/A Rodyle may not have looked tough before, but do not underestimate him. Rodyle has earth-spells like Grave. You are probably used to them by now, so it should not become too much of a problem. Have Lloyd and Presea combo on Rodyle, and have Genis cast powerful spells. Zelos should be in here to heal and help in battle. Keep your hit points up as much as you can, because another battle will be on its way after this battle. Shadow Location: Temple of Darkness HP: 30000 TP: 800 Gald: 4500 Exp: 6380 Rewards: Dark Seal Shadow's only weakness is light-based magic, so Colette is a good choice here. Shadow can warp anywhere on the battle field, so watch out. Shadow cast magic very fast, almost in an instant. Using Genis here is a must. Sheena should be helping Lloyd comboing up on Shadow. Just be careful, and heal often, and you should be fine. Aska/Luna Location: Tower of Mana HP: 19650/18000 TP: 600/720 Gald: 3450/3250 Exp: 6380 Rewards: Rare Pellets, Moonstone Your first priority is to eliminate Aska. He is the stronger of the two, and causes a lot more damage than Luna. Try summoning Shadow in this battle. Keep a healer in this battle, either Zelos or Raine. After Aska is done with, Luna should be easy to deal with. Forcystus/2 Exbones Location: Iselia Human Ranch HP: 20000/6000 TP: 400/320 Gald: 7150/0 Exp: 6380 Rewards: Faerie Ring Forcystus is the hardest Grand Cardinal to defeat. The Exbones should be the first to go. Having your party as Lloyd, Kratos, Zelos, and Genis is the best. Either Zelos or Kratos should be healing, while the other helping with attacking. Keep your Earth spells handy, as they will help a lot in this battle. As his HP goes down, Forcystus will start attacking you with his mechanical arm. Just watch out for his attacks, and you will win the battle. Plantix Location: Latheon Gorge HP: 36000 TP: 250 Gald: 1250 Exp: 7500 Rewards: Blue Sephira Plantix is weak to fire, so Genis' fire magic is useful here. Zelos is also good here, for helping in battle and healing. Your fourth person here can be anyone. Plantix does not move around the battle field much, but its vines and roots can stretch across the entire field. Plantix is not a very hard boss, and you should finish this battle in no time at all. Kratos Aurion Location: Tower of Salvation HP: 25000 TP: 980 Gald: 4800 Exp: 7600 Rewards: Ex Gem Lv4, Energy Tablets Kratos now knows very powerful light-based spells like Judgement. Kratos can still cast magic fast and attack fast. Fortunately, most of his attacks can be blocked, and he can stagger when casting. Bring Zelos in to this battle to fight, and have Genis casting his magic. Your fourth member is up to you. Remember to dodge and combo, and you will be fine. Yggdrassil Location: Tower of Salvation HP: 40000 TP: 3000 Gald: 0 Exp: 3000 Rewards: N/A Just cause 10000 damage to Yggdrasil and he will retreat. Gatekeeper/Angel Swordians x2 Location: Tower of Salvation HP: 18000/7480 TP: 800/130 Gald: 8970/335 Exp: 8880/236 Rewards: Mystic Symbol First, target the two Swordians that are with the Gatekeeper. They will become a pain to deal with later on. After the Swordians are gone, deal with the Gatekeeper. Normal attacks only cause half damage to this boss, so techniques are the best. Gatekeeper should be easy to take care of, compared to the other battles you have faced so far. Zelos Wilder Location: Tower of Salvation HP: 28000 TP: 1200 Gald: 9800 Exp: 9300 Rewards: Mystic Symbol Zelos' moves are very similar to Kratos', so you know what to expect. Zelos is a bit faster than Kratos, but other than that, ther is no difference between them. Lloyd should be attacking Zelos before Zelos can cast or use a technique. Genis should cast spells, Raine should heal, and your fourth person is up to you. This battle should not take too long. Pronyma/Idun x2 Location: Tower of Salvation HP: 38000/11000 TP: 850/0 Gald: 4800/1200 Exp: 7000/1200 Rewards: Black Quartz, Red Savory The Iduns are your first target, and they should go down fairly quick. Pronyma has become stronger than your last encounter with her at Fooji Mountains. She still has the same techniques though, so you should be pretty familiar with them. Pronyma likes to decrease your status, so counter it with Raine's spells. Raine is especially useful in this battle with her light-based spells. Genis can also be added here for a little extra magic power. Your fourth person is up to you. After a while, Pronyma will be defeated. Yggdrasil Location: Tower of Salvation HP: 40000 TP: 3000 Gald: 4800 Exp: 4160 Rewards: EX Gem Lv4, Energy Tablets Yggdrasil is a lot stronger than he looks. He comes with light-based spells, of course, and Indignation and some other powerful spells. Have Kratos/Zelos in this battle for extra support, and Presea or Sheena should be in this battle too. If you are going to include Raine, disable her light spells. It is a difficult battle, but it should not take too long. Kratos Location: Torrent Forest HP: 12000 TP: 1400 Gald: 5520 Exp: 4995 Rewards: N/A Kratos is back for a final time. But this time, you are alone. Luckily, you can use items. You should stay as close to him and just go all out with melee attacks. Kratos likes to use Grave and Demon Fangs, so watch out. Just keep close to him, and hack and slash your way to victory. Origin Location: Torrent Forest HP: 40000 TP: 800 Gald: 9870 Exp: 10240 Rewards: Reflect Ring No, you do not have to face Origin alone. If you chose Kratos over Zelos, you will not have either of them to aid you. Origin's attacks are mostly strike, and a mix of melee and magic. The party should consist of Lloyd, Genis, Raine, and Presea. Genis should use large-area spells since Origin can teleport, and Raine should heal and use Photon to immobilize Origin. Presea should be helping Lloyd with combos. This is not as hard as the duel with Kratos, but if you are not careful, you will have to face both Origin and Kratos again. The Neglected Location: Welgaia HP: 20000 TP: 500 Gald: 3200 Exp: 1400 Rewards: Defense Ring The Neglected is extremely weak, and it is not strong at all. Just stay away from the light-based attacks. Since your party is all ready determined, you do not have much of a choice who to fight with. Just bash him up melee style. The Fugitive Location: Welgaia HP: 20000 TP: 500 Gald: 3200 Exp: 1400 Rewards: Magic Ring The Fugitive is a carbon copy of The Neglected. Just use the same strategy for it. The Judged Location: Welgaia HP: 20000 TP: 500 Gald: 3200 Exp: 1400 Rewards: Attack Ring Again, The Judged is just like the others. Use the same strategy as you did for the other two. Mithos Location: Derris Kharlan HP: 55000 TP: 8000 Gald: 1690 Exp: 8280 Rewards: N/A Use your best party for this. You should be familiar with the light spells Mithos deals out. Mithos does have a new move though, which causes a lot of status effects on your party. Make sure you have either items or Raine to deal with those effects. Mithos is most vulnerable to darkness, and strengthened by light. Remember to keep your hit points high. Mithos Location: Derris Kharlan HP: 60000 TP: 1500 Gald: 0 Exp: 0 Rewards: EX Gem Max If you have any items you want to use, go ahead and use them with no regret. This is the last battle. Heal your party if you did not before. Mithos' attacks are not too much stronger. Stay with the strategy you used before to defeat him. You can let loose everything in this battle. Enjoy the last part of the game! |
