Chapter 1

No. 01: Washed Up on the Legacy
Author: Senel Coolidge

Shirley and I drifted until we reached the Legacy, a huge ship as big as an island.

Shirley got seawater all over herself and started to run a fever, so I took her to Lumen Spring to get her some fresh water.

As Soon as we arrived, a man flew in and attacked us.

As if that wasn't bad enough, this bandit named Moses came and kidnapped Shirley while I was distracted fighting the other guy.

Hang in there, Shirley. I'm coming for you.

Will, the guy who found us on the shore, says that there's a bandit's lair around here where Moses and his gang hide out.

I need to find out where this place is, so I've decided to travel with Will for now.

No. 02: Werites Beacon
Author: Senel Coolidge

I followed Will to a city called Werites Beacon. He said it gets its name from some ancient lighthouse thing.

Will had to go take care of some business, so he told me to wait at the fountain plaza. While I was waiting, some weird punk came up and caused me to get into a fight.

Then things got even weirder when these "Bantam Bouncers" people jumped in and started giving me more trouble.

Just when I thought things had gotten back to normal, Will showed up and knocked me out with his crystal eres.

When I came to, I was locked up in a cell. A woman named Musette helped explain my case to Will, and I managed to get released.

Finally, I can go and rescue Shirley.

According to Will, the bandits' lair is beyond the Misty Mountains.

But why does he have to tag along?

No. 03: In the Misty Mountains
Author: Will Raynard

I find keeping a journal of one's daily activities to be a wonderful habit.

We found ourselves crossing over the Misty Mountains in order to find Shirley and bring her back to safety.

Along the way, we encountered Chloe Valens, our other objective. Our meeting was brief, however, and we were ambushed by bandits. We got separated while trying to shake the bandits off.

We must make certain to take her into custody next time.

Shirley's condition is a concern as well.

We'd best hurry to the bandits' lair as swiftly as possible.

No. 04: At the Bandit's Lair
Author: Will Raynard

Fortunately, we managed to reunite with Chloe Valens inside the bandits lair.

We then procured the key to Shirley's room from Moses. I regret not having taught him a lesson sooner.

But just when I thought the furor had finally subsided, an army clad in red uniforms attacked the lair.

Who in the world could they be?

Amidst the chaos and confusion, the flying man from earlier reappeared and kidnapped Shirley. He seemed to be headed toward the Crystal Forest.

No. 05: In the Crystal Forest
Author: Chloe Valens

This sort of writing is not a forte of mine. Yet it is my turn to write, so write I must.

We entered the Crystal Forest in pursuit of the flying man who kidnapped Shirley.

There, we encountered Norma Beatty, a self-proclaimed treasure hunter, being chased by a crystarantula. Her situation was brought about completely by her own greed, and yet she had the gall to make us take care of it. Honestly.

However, her crystal eres did prove helpful in getting us past a cliff with a broken ladder.

I noticed Norma looking rather hungrily at Shirley's brooch, which Coolidge had found along the way.

No. 06: Reunion in a Secret Underground Tunnel!
Author: Norma Beatty

Wow! We're keeping records and everything, huh? How official!

Hmm, let me read this...whoa, Teach and C write all super serious! And what's this "looking rather hungrily" bit? I'll get you for that!

Anyway, thanks to me, we go the door to the ruins open and rescued Shirl.

The good-looking guy with her really had it in for Senny! I wonder what's up with him? That guy also saved Shirl from a pillar that was going to fall right on top of her...

Ah well, Shirl's with us now, so whatever. Not my problem.

I thought we were goners when the earthquake blocked the way back out, but then those talking sea otters came, and...wow!

So, off we go with little Pippy to the old Oresoren Village!

No. 07: At the Old Oresoren Village
Author: Shirley Fennes

So, I have to write, too?...Okay, I'll try.

Things have been difficult, what with being taken away by the red-haired bandit and then by the flying man, but in the end I was able to rejoin Senel.

The path back outside was blocked off, but the Oresoren say there's another way out.

So now we're following their lead back up to the surface.

Is this good enough?

No. 08: Heading for the Surface
Author: Senel Coolidge

The Long Long Demon chased us down and attacked us, but we managed to make it out safely.

Since we were safe, Shirley and I had no reason to stay with Will and the others. We headed back for Werites Beacon on our own, but we ran into Vaclav's army along the way.

I can't believe I let them take Shirley! Dammit!

When I woke up at the bottom of a cliff, a girl named Harriet was standing next to me.

Anyway, I need to get back to Werites Beacon and find out what's going on.

Chapter 2

No. 09: See you Back at Werites!
Author: Norma Beatty

Senny, glad you're safe! Too bad Teach and C got all mad at you.

For some crazy reason, they refused to take me along and left me sitting here all along in Werites Beacon...

Let's go after 'em, Senny! We'll catch up to Teach and C, no matter what it takes.

Plus, it's a chance to meet Jay the Unseen!

Bella said they were heading toward Raging Bay.

Let's go!

No. 10: Going After Teach and C!
Author: Norma Beatty

We made it to Raging Bay, but Senny lost control in the face of my charms, so Teach and C got away.

A nice old man lent us a boat, though, so we raced right after them. We'd have had them, too, if the stupid engine hadn't blown up!

I don't know what it is about that brat in the boat, but she REALLY gets on my nerves.

By the time we fixed the engine and got to shore, Teach and C were nowhere to be found. So now we've got nowhere to go...

Nothing left to do but take Poppy to the Oresoren village.

No. 11: At the Oresoren Village
Author: Senel Coolidge

Lost control? Your "charms"?! Watch what you write, Norma!

When we arrived at the Oresoren village with Poppo, we found that Will and Chloe were already there.

Jay the Unseen turned out to be that weird punk who tricked me in Werites Beacon and who challenged me to the boat race.

I still don't trust him, but at this point we don't have anything else to go on. It's not like I can refuse help in rescuing Shirley.

We headed toward the Waterways to put Jay's plan into action.

Man, who'd have guessed that Harriet was Will's daughter...

No. 12: In the Waterways
Author: Chloe Valens

We attempted to rescue Shirley by following the plan Jay devised.

We successfully entered the Waterways, despite bandits interfering in our plans. However, just as we reached Shirley, Melanie the Crimson sent water rushing toward us, and our group separated from one another.

We managed to regroup in the lower levels, however, and soon went after Shirley again.

Thanks to the gemini shell, we were able to determine Shirley's location.

She wasn't there when we arrived, though. She had used herself as a decoy to save the flying man and Fenimore.

We reached the surface and continued after Shirley to the Ruins of Frozen Light.

Moses Sandor joined us as well, saying he didn't like Vaclav's ways.

Chapter 3

No. 13: To the Great Hollow!
Author: Moses Sandor

So it's my turn to do this writing thing, huh?

Well, the Ruins of Frozen Light were crawling with Vaclav's guys, and we couldn't get in from the front.

Of course, I could've just shoved my way through!

But that little wimp Jay says he's going to find another way in, so we're headed for someplace called the Great Hollow.

Follow me, y'all!

No. 14: In the Great Hollow
Author: Will Raynard

Hmm, Moses writes better than I'd expected.

We headed for the Great Hollow to gain access to the Ruins of Frozen Light.

Inside, we found an underground lake where Poppo was waiting for us. It turns out that Jay's plan was to enter the Ruins via submarine.

In order to strengthen the submarine, we need to obtain the crown-shaped horn of a grand gaet.

Let's go! The grand gaet is waiting!

No. 15: The Tale of the Grand Gaet Battle!
Author: Norma Beatty

We finally got the grand gaet's horn!

I thought we were goners for sure when Red went and picked a fight with it, but it looks like the grand gaet was cool with everything.

So, off we go on an undersea journey to the Ruins of Frozen Light!

No. 16: At the Ruins of Frozen Light
Author: Chloe Valens

After a graceful journey through the water, we reached the Ruins of Frozen Light. It was truly an amazing and wonderful experience, and one that I hope to some day repeat.

Deep in the Ruins, we saw a strange ball of light. On closer inspection, we realized that a girl was trapped inside the ball of light. Coolidge called her Stella.

We fought Vaclav in an attempt to free Stella, but were defeated. Shirley saved us, however, and we escaped from the Ruins of Frozen Light.

I had never thought that Coolidge and Shirley might not be true siblings...

But that is not important now. We need to escape from Vaclav's army.

No. 17: Escape through the Forest of No Return!
Author: Norma Beatty

Jeez, people, this is hardly the time to be writing!

First the Terrors chase us around the Forest of No Return, then we get attacked by a giant anglerfish, on land no less!

On top of all that, Red's people got wiped out, and C went nuts when the guy with the mask talked to her!

I'm beat!

But just when I thought we were goners, some old friends of Senny's helped us out. They called themselves Ferines, which means "People of the Water" in Relares. I guess that's what the Radiant call themselves. They said that Shirl was one of them, too.

Of course, I was already pretty sure of that after that time in the Ruins of Frozen Light.

I guess all we can do now is rely on them. I'm exhausted!

Chapter 4

No. 18: At the Radiant Base
Author: Chloe Valens

Maurits led us to a Radiant base.

There, Maurits talked of forming an alliance between the Radiant and the Holy Rexalian Empire. Such an alliance would provide us with the ability to fight against an entire army.

Raynard, however, dismissed the rest of us as children and left us out of the battle plans.

I must admit that he is right. We do tend to let our emotions get the better of us.

However, we cannot afford to back down. We can rely on each other for things we cannot accomplish alone.

We finally convinced Raynard to allow us to participate. First, though, we need to prepare for battle.

We headed for the Man-Eating Ruins, in search of the Whisper Crystal that Maurits says is critical to our success.

No. 19: The Man-Eating Ruins!
Author: Moses Sandor

We entered the Man-Eating Ruins, looking for the Whisper Crystal. The ruins got a real tough name, but they ain't nothing to me!

My eyes got a real feast, thanks to Grune.

We got the Whisper Crystal just fine, too.

Now, we just got to get back and get ready.

Just you wait, Vaclav!

No. 20: Before the War
Author: Senel Coolidge

Moses, your candor is certainly, um, impressive...

Anyway, Jay showed up when we got back to the base. Apparently, he's going to help out in this battle as well.

I did some practice with Chloe to help cool myself down. Moses and Norma showed up later too, so we're back to our old group. Fighting together like this isn't so bad, after all.

We're being sent as an independent detachment to the front lines of Vaclav's army.

I'll get Shirley and Stella out...no matter what.

No. 21: Attack on the Front Lines!
Author: Norma Beatty

Humph! Sure, rub it in! I know I'm flat as a board!

Who'd have thought that the people in Werites Beacon were actually Rexalian soldiers? Even worse, those BBs are their commanders?! No way! That's so wrong!

Our nighttime raid worked perfectly, and we won a big victory on the front lines.

Wally's scarecrows aren't doing so bad either, but they're not as strong as us.

Off we go to the Bridge Plain! Yeah!

No. 22: The Battle of Bridge Plain
Author: Jay

I must admit I'm surprised that Moses can take proper records at all.

Vaclav's battle-hardened soldiers made the battle at the Bridge Plain a tough one. However, thanks to surprise attack from the Oresoren that even I hadn't expected, the alliance gained the upper hand.

I only came to the front lines out of concern for the Oresoren, but I seem to have been pulled into Senel's group myself.

Too many things aren't going according to plan. I'll need to reflect on that later. But having come this far, there's no point in stopping before we defeat Vaclav himself.

Please try not to get in the way, Moses.

No. 23: Battle on the Bridge
Author: Will Raynard

The war ended with a victory for the alliance. We defeated not only the Terrors, but Vaclav himself.

However, stopping the Nerifes Cannon cost Stella her life. It pains me that our success came at such a price, but at least Shirley is safe.

There is still much postwar clean-up to be done.

We can't let ourselves be held back by the past.

Chapter 5

No. 24: Fen-Fen's Message
Author: Norma Beatty

Fen-Fen came to Werites Beacon, saying that Shirl was feeling down. She said she wants to take Senny with her to cheer Shirl up.

Looks like she's actually kind of nice.

But Senny and Shirl probably don't want to talk to each other right now...

We all wound up heading for the Village of the Ferines so Teach can deliver some message to them. I hope everything goes okay.

Not like I can change anything by worrying about it.

No. 25: At the Home of the Ferines
Author: Moses Sandor

Well, we got Will's message delivered safe and sound.

Looks like Senel went and talked to Shirley too, but they didn't seem so happy.

That night, we stayed at the home of the Ferines.

In the morning, Walter came to tell us about some of Vaclav's rabble holed up in a fort. Hiding like rats! Me and Giet'll take care of them!

Come on, let's head over to the hidden fort!

But Senel, you sure you don't want to say bye to Shirley?

No. 26: At the Hidden Fort
Author: Jay

We'd come intending to clear out the remnants of Vaclav's army, but when we reached the hidden fort, it was an empty shell.

We explored the fort and found that it had been used for experiments on the Radiant. It seems the Radiant that were brought to the Legacy had been imprisoned here.

Walter's intent had been to show us this reality, then eliminate us.

However, just as we were about to do battle, a messenger arrived. Walter ran off in surprise at the message.

Apparently, a human army had appeared at the Rite of Accession that Shirley was performing.

We need to hurry to the Altar of the Sea ourselves.

No. 27: At the Altar of the Sea
Author: Chloe Valens

A battalion from my home country of Gadoria was attacking the Radiant at the Altar of the Sea. What could have brought them to do such a thing?

Upon arriving at the Altar, the first things we saw were Fenimore's motionless body and Shirley's expressionless face.

We tried to take back Shirley, but failed in the face of Walter's increased power. We then felt ourselves lose strength, and discovered that we could no longer use eres.

We were saved by a sudden snowstorm, however, and under its cover were able to escape to Werites Beacon. Once there, though, we found that even the erens in town had lost their abilities.

We knew nothing of the Radiant, much less the source of eres. Before we proceed, we will need to learn the truth.

For some reason, that thought suddenly brought to mind the lighthouse at Werites Beacon.

Chapter 6

No. 28: The Secret of the Beacon
Author: Senel Coolidge

We gathered at the lighthouse in Werites Beacon, but when we entered, we suddenly lost consciousness.

When we came to, there was a calm sea in front of us.

Norma pointed up, really excited. When we looked up, we saw that there was a ceiling there instead of sky! We were so surprised!

Jay says that we're deep inside the Legacy.

For whatever reason, we can use our eres here.

It's definitely a strange place. Before we had even gotten our bearings, we had sudden visions of some hot place.

If that means we'll be able to learn something there, then let's get going.

...And since when was Grune with us?

No. 29: Hothothot!
Author: Norma Beatty

What's with these ruins? Normal on the outside, but way too hot on the inside! How can anybody stand it?! I'm too hot to do anything!

When Senny and C went up to a light inside the ruins, we all saw something weird. It looked like something from the past, but what? How? Why?!

Qutie came along and led us back to camp.

I'm sooo tired...let me rest already!

No. 30: Let's Go Back to the Beach
Author: Grune

I wonder what we saw in the hot ruins...

I wonder if it was something from the Kingdom of Terises...

I wonder what the Wings of Light are...

It looks like we have to go to a cold place next...

It sounds like fun!

No. 31: Coldcoldcold!
Author: Norma Beatty

Hold it, it's definitely not my turn! Somebody's slacking!

This time we went to a cold place, but when we got there, Wally showed up. Good thing he was weaker than that time at the altar!

When he left and we entered the ruins, it was freezing cold inside. Red, put on a shirt or something! I'm freezing to death just looking at you!

We saw more of those images from the lights. What in the world are they?

I give up. I'll let Teach and JJ handle it.

I'm cold and tired...let's just get back to camp!

No. 32: Warming Up at the Beach
Author: Moses Sandor

I sure could use a pretty body to warm me up!

Seems Shirley's at the Mirage Palace with the other Radiant, but there ain't much we can do about it now.

This time at the ruins we saw a bunch of war scenes.

Who's trying to tell us what?

Next place looks like it's all thunder and lightning. Maybe we'll find out something there.

No. 33: Boomboomcrash!
Author: Norma Beatty

Hey, Red, how come you're so scared of lightning!

Ah, well...Operation Love Attack succeeded anyway, so no big deal.

This time, we were shown a white, rectangular ship falling out of the sky... Whatever that means.

Well, I guess we can worry about that later.

Let's get back to camp and get some sleep!

No. 34: Return to the Beach, Again
Author: Jay

Operation Love Attack? What's that?

In any case, despite my continuing investigations, I have yet to find a way into the Mirage Palace.

I did, however, come up with an answer to who--what--has been leading us around. I suspect that Nerifes, the sea itself, is telling us these things. That would explain everything we've experienced so far.

Now we need to know the intentions of the Radiant.

To that end, let's head for the field of flowers.

No. 35: At the Flower Field
Author: Chloe Valens

What is this "Operation Love Attack"? Can't you take proper records?

The situation is heading in a grave, almost unthinkable direction. The intent of the Radiant is to repeat the Cataclysm.

Is Shirley truly trying to take such an action?

What is Nerifes trying to accomplish by telling us this?

We need to consider our next actions carefully.

We should return to camp and rest ourselves.

No. 36: Led by Nerifes
Author: Will Raynard

We cannot allow the Radiant to repeat the Cataclysm, but we have no way to stop them...

Just as we were discussing that, a pillar of light appeared.

Is Nerifes calling us?

No. 37: Nerife's Power
Author: Grune

We went to the pillar of light, and then Nerifes spoke to us. It wanted to know our feelings after we saw the truth.

Then it accepted us and gave us incredible power. It was wonderful.

But for some reason, it didn't seem to like Senel. Everybody's nails were shining. Even mine. It was so pretty. But Senel's nails didn't shine. I wonder why?

Well, let's not think about things we don't understand.

After all, thinking isn't going to change anything.

Why don't we just head back to camp for a nice nap?

No. 38: Decisions and Responsibilities
Author: Senel Coolidge

Nerifes refused to give me power because of my own feelings. I was running away from myself the whole time.

But now I can understand the real meaning of this power, and the responsibility that comes with it.

If Shirley has changed completely into a Merines, if she doesn't listen to me...then I'll put an end to things myself.

According to Jay, there's an entrance to the Mirage Palace at the elevator.

I promise I'll do my part. So please, everyone, lend me your support.

Senel, we're counting on you, too. -Jay

Let's all work together, okay? -Grune

Onward! To Shirl! -Norma

No. 40: Within the Mirage Palace
Author: Chloe Valens

We proceeded into the palace, defeated Walter, and were finally able to reach Shirley.

However, Maurits interfered at the last minute, and our efforts to convince Shirley failed.

It is clear, though, that Shirley is still herself, so we cannot give up yet. After all, the Cataclysm has yet to occur.

Jay says that there may be a way for us to reach the Wings of Light. To learn whether it's feasible or not, we first need to return to Werites Beacon.

No. 41: To the Wings of Light
Author: Senel and the Fun Bunch

Thanks to Jay and the Oresoren brothers, we learned that we can get to the Wings of Light by using the Trail across the Heavens.

Now all we need to do is prepare, and go. My companions are here by my side. There's nothing to worry about!

Everyone! One last fight!

Right! -Will

How fun! -Grune

Character Quest Introduction

No. 42: Starting Anew
Author: Senel Coolidge

Two months have passed since the battle with the Raging Nerifes.

At Will's request, Shirley and I headed out to get rid of a monster near the cliff. We succeeded in defeating it, but it was incredibly strong. Stronger than anything we've fought before.

And what was that black mist that appeared for an instant?

We need to return to Werites Beacon to tell Will about this.

No. 43: Reporting to Will, then to the Inland Bay
Author: Shirley Fennes

When we reached Werites Beacon, we found Hattie very upset. Apparently, she'd been quarreling with Will again. We asked her where he was, and once she told us, we went to report on the monster.

It seems even Will doesn't know why the monsters have suddenly grown strong.

I hope nothing bad happens...

Will asked us to go to Raging Bay to meet Chloe. It will be nice to see everyone again.

No. 44: The Inland Bay & Return to Werites Beacon
Author: Chloe Valens

It's been a while since I have written here. This brings back such memories.

I returned to the Legacy to meet Coolidge and Shirley at Raging Bay. Together, we headed back toward Werites Beacon.

On the way, we encountered Elsa and Arnold Alcott and saved them from an attacking monster.

It seems Coolidge has not lost his edge, either.

The two Alcotts were headed toward Werites Beacon as well, so we wound up traveling together.

This will be my first visit to Werites Beacon in two months. I'm looking forward to it.

No. 45: Werites Beacon Revisited
Author: Chloe Valens

Coolidge suggested that since I'm finding writing more pleasant, I should write again. Am I being used?

From now on, I will avoid adding unnecessary comments.

Upon reaching Werites Beacon, we parted company with the Alcotts and headed for Will's house.

The rest of our companions had yet to arrive, however, so we spent some time wandering around the town. We came across Zamaran and led him to the graveyard, where we were surprised to see Norma.

It seems that Norma and Zamaran know each other.

When we returned from the graveyard, Curtis rushed up and asked us to come to the lower basement of the inn.

No. 46: The Fun Bunch Gathers!
Author: Norma Beatty

C, you are definitely being used.

But yeah, it is kind of nice to come back and write in here again.

Anyway, so we went to the inn's lower basement. It was a full-on fighting arena! The BBs tricked Senny into fighting! And not only that, the "monster" he had to fight was Moses! How monstrous!

JJ showed up at the arena too, and we all headed back to Will's house. We even managed to pick up Grune along the way!

We were all talking to each other and catching up, when a huge earthquake suddenly struck.

The BBs asked us to investigate, so we're off to Lumen Spring.

I'm ready for some FUN!

No. 47: Investigation at Lumen Spring
Author: Will Raynard

I can understand being happy to see everyone again, but let's not overdo things. Especially you, Norma.

We headed to Lumen Spring to investigate the source of the earthquake. There, we encountered a monster that formed out of mist.

I haven't heard any reports of such a monster before.

Worse, that monster then merged with another monster, taking on a horrible form and gaining strength. Ordinary eren probably wouldn't have stood a chance.

Furthermore, we were unable to definitively determine the cause of the earthquake, leaving us with a certain sense of unease.

If we're to learn what this black mist really is, we need to continue gathering information.

Character Quest: Will

No. 48: Looking for the Baby's Parents
Author: Harriet Campbell

I don't really know what this is all about, but Norma told me to write, so I'm writing.

That four-eyed doofus annoys me so much! He acts so nice to everyone else, but he gets mad at me no matter what I do. Senel said maybe I should trying studying him, so I'll try that.

Anyway, this man and woman just came right up to me and gave me a baby. Then Senel found a letter that said they were going to end their lives!

We'd better hurry to the Great Hollow and find them!

I'm going too, no matter what anybody else says!

No. 49: The Great Hollow & Thunder Monument
Author: Moses Sandor

Been a while since I've done this! Here we go!

So, we found the baby's parents in the Great Hollow.

Will put on a real tear-jerker of a speech, and they decided to live on as a family. That's the way it ought to be!

It'd be nice if Will got along better with his own kid, though...

Speaking of Harriet, she said she wanted to go off to the Thunder Monument to get herself a Lesser Pup or something.

Leave it to me and Giet, kid!

Woof! -Giet

No. 50: Looking for the Lesser Pup
Author: Jay

Is that "Woof" supposed to be Giet? Norma, stop adding things to other people's entries.

We left for the Thunder Monument to search for the Lesser Pup. We succeeded in finding it, but were unable to capture it once a monster appeared.

During the battle, the flower on the hair band Harriet liked so much was shattered as well.

When we returned to Werites, Will was terribly angry. It's understandable, after his child was taken outside the city without his knowledge. We'll just have to wait for his mood to clear up.

Later, Will asked us to accompany him to the Waterways. He seemed very concerned about something...I wonder what's the matter.

Well, I image we'll find out once we get to the Waterways.

No. 51: Harriet's Flower
Author: Shirley Fennes

We headed for the Waterways at Will's request.

We proceeded deep inside and encountered the black mist. It was polluting the earth and water, destroying the flowers and plants.

I was startled when the mist took the shape of Will, but with the real Will's help, we were finally able to disperse it.

I don't think I'll ever forget the beautiful sight of those flowers blooming in the darkness of the lunar eclipse.

I envy Harriet for having such a beautiful flower named after her.

No. 52: Tulip Attacks!
Author: Norma Beatty

Shirl, you ought to get Senny to name something after you!

Speaking of Senny, he's finally graduated from hanging around in Teach's house to being his own lord and master. It sure is a surprise that he's got his own house already. But, I guess if they're separated and all...

Just as we were finishing up moving stuff, who should show up at the town entrance but Fen-Fen's sister, Tulip! She sure sounded scary, but Shirl didn't even flinch. Shirl, you're awesome!

Though I have to say I was impressed by Tulip too, coming all this way just to complain.

Looks like I've got a lot of work ahead of me!

Character Quest: Norma

No. 53: Norma's Request
Author: Grune

It's good to work hard.

We were called to the fountain plaza. There, we found Norma arguing with Zamaran.

Why can't we all just be friends?

At Norma's request, we went to search for the Everlight.

First, we're going to go to the Man-Eating Ruins.

I have a feeling I've been there before...

But let's say I haven't.

After all, it's more fun to go somewhere for the first time.

Everyone, let's go on a picnic at the Man-Eating Ruins!

No. 54: Searching for the Everlight
Author: Senel Coolidge

Actually, Grune, the Man-Eating Ruins is where we first met you.

Anyway, we reached the ruins and started searching for the Everlight. Norma messed up deactivating some traps, and Moses took the brunt of them, but it wasn't a big deal.

The trap she sprung at the end, though, got us attacked by a monster.

We ended up not finding the Everlight, but Norma doesn't seem like she'll give up yet. We're going to the Ice Monument next.

Hopefully, Moses won't feed as many traps this time.

No. 55: Searching for the Everlight, Part 2
Author: Moses Sandor

Not a big deal?! Come on, man, have a heart!

We came to the Ice Monument looking for the Everlight. Bubbles went and sprang some traps again, punching a whole bunch of holes in my butt. Do you hate me that much?!

Well, at least I can still joke about it.

Bubbles got hit by a trap herself and was hurt pretty bad. Not only that, the trap had some nasty poison on it.

We'd better get back to Werites Beacon and cure her fast!

No. 56: Curing Norma
Author: Chloe Valens

We approached Alcott to ask him how to cure Norma's poison, and he quickly prepared an antidote for us. But no sooner had we cured her than she suddenly disappeared.

We found an old notebook in her room filled with Relares studies. It seems that she had been putting in significant effort studying it on her own.

We found Norma collapsed in the graveyard and brought her back to Werites Beacon.

Her repeated failures had lowered her confidence, and she said she was giving up on the Everlight. Then Zamaran appeared, and the two of them started fighting. Now it seems Norma ran off after their argument.

Zamaran says that she headed for the Crystal Forest.

No. 57: Here Lies the Everlight!
Author: Shirley Fennes

We headed after Norma to the Crystal Forest.

We found a path through a crack in a crystal, and Norma successfully disarmed some traps to reveal the Everlight.

The Everlight really did exist!

A message from Norma's mentor was written on the wall. He must have made it here as well.

The Everlight granted Norma's wish and restored Zamaran's sight.

The Everlight used up its power and crumbled away after that, but that's okay. We don't need it anymore.

Character Quest: Interlude

No. 58: Heading for the Home of the Ferines
Author: Will Raynard

Norma, what are you telling Harriet to write?!

We received a message from the Ferines that they're going to remove the barrier around their village. Shirley was the only one who'd been able to enter until now. I need to find out what changed their minds.

In order to meet with Maurits, we're heading for the village of the Ferines for the first time in quite a while.

Right, off we go.

No. 59: In the Village of the Ferines
Author: Jay

We entered the Village of the Ferines at the invitation of Maurits. It looks like Maurits is handling the Ferines well, which is a relief.

Surprisingly, the reason we were called was the black mist. It seems that the mist has been sighted near here as well.

Just as we were promising our continued cooperation, Thyra's scream suddenly cut through the air.

The black mist was coming out of Thyra herself. The mist formed into a monster, which we successfully defeated.

I feel that some sort of will is behind that mist.

Grune's memory still has not returned, but at least Shirley was able to talk with Thyra.

Hopefully, in time, Thyra will learn to become a bit more friendly.

Character Quest: Chloe

No. 60: Going After Elsa
Author: Grune

Things have gotten a bit complicated, haven't they?

All of a sudden, Elsa ran off to look for her father.

She must be really concerned about him putting himself in danger for her sake.

Chloe told us about all this, and we ended up going out after Elsa. After all, poor Elsa isn't very strong, so we'd better take care of her.

She went...um, where did she go anyway?

To the Hidden Fortress Vaclav was using! Didn't we just talk about that?! -Norma

No. 61: Father and Daughter! That's a Family!
Author: Moses Sandor

Hey, I'm back! Long time no see!

We got hold of Elsa real fast at Vaclav's Hidden Fortress. She was coughing up a storm, but she's as brave as any of us! We found Arnold at the back of the fortress, too.

We brought them both back to Werites Beacon, but Elsa's condition kept getting worse.

Arnold said she might not make it without help.

Now we're headed to the Earth Monument to get a spider's cocoon for the medicine.

Senel! Chloe! Let's go!

No. 62: Searching for Medicine
Author: Senel Coolidge

We entered the Earth Monument to look for the spider's cocoon needed to make Elsa's medicine.

We defeated a monster and got the cocoon, but Arnold hadn't returned to Werites Beacon by the time we got back.

Elsa was doing even worse, so we tried to help her with healing crystal eres.

After that, I went after Chloe, who had started acting strangely.

I'd started to think that Arnold was actually Stingle. Who wouldn't, after seeing how he wielded his sword?

Chloe was going to go after Arnold to avenge her parents.

I tried to calm her down, but she wouldn't listen. She caught me off guard and I lost in the face of her determination. But I won't let a little loss like that stop me!

Chloe's gone to the Forest of No Return. We'd better hurry after her.

No. 63: Remaining on the Legacy
Author: Norma Beatty

How come my turn always comes up when there's tons going on?

We headed to the Forest of No Return to stop C from taking her revenge.

I was really worried for a while, but C finally listened to us. I guess she didn't really want to go through with that revenge stuff after all.

Even though we stopped that, it looked like we wouldn't be able to stop her from leaving the Legacy.

But then Shirl slapped some sense into her!

Got to be honest with yourself, after all!

Well, lots of stuff happened, but it all worked out in the end, didn't it, C?

We've still got lots of fun to have together!

Character Quest: Moses

No. 64: Investigating the Misty Mountains
Author: Chloe Valens

I am truly sorry for the trouble I have caused everyone. I will try to do better from now on.

According to Csaba, Sandor's men had recently been attacked by a monster. Sandor hadn't told us because the monster is rumored to be Giet.

I cannot imagine Giet attacking people.

We will investigate the Misty Mountains in order to learn the truth.

No. 65: Searching for the Attacker
Author: Shirley Fennes

While we were in the Misty Mountains, we succeeded in defeating the monster responsible for the attacks. It looked like everything was going to be okay, but then Giet started acting strangely.

I've never seen Giet disobey Moses before. He couldn't really turn wild...could he?

Events didn't leave us time to worry about that, though.

The people of Werites Beacon were being attacked by a galf that looked like Giet.

We learned the location of the galf and headed to the Crags to investigate... and to prove Giet's innocence.

No. 66: The Fate of Turning Wild
Author: Jay

We encountered Giet while investigating in the Crags.

It seems Giet really was the one attacking the townspeople. Giet had turned completely wild, and didn't respond even to Moses' frantic calls.

That wasn't the worst of it, though. Giet hurt Moses badly, and we were forced to return to Werites Beacon to heal.

As the sun fell and darkness surrounded the town, we suddenly heard Giet's howl echo through the air. We hurried to the camp where Moses' companions stay, but were too late.

Moses looked upon his injured family and came to a decision.

Now, we head for the bandits' lair...to stop Giet.

No. 67: A Parting of Men
Author: Will Raynard

Moses reached Giet, and his feelings brought Giet back to his senses. But Giet's ultimate fate remains unchanged.

Moses and Giet reached an understanding and made their final decision. Giet will leave Moses and live on in the Quiet Lands.

I'll never forget his lonely howl...

Moses and Giet. You two are--without question--family.

No. 68: A Picnic!
Author: Grune

We went and had a picnic at Lumen Spring.

Calm, pleasant times like this makes for really good memories.

It would be wonderful if everyone could stay together like this forever.

Character Quest: Jay

No. 69: Investigating the Ninjas
Author: Senel Coolidge

I never imagined Jay would come to wake me up...

Musette asked us to investigate the appearance of some ninjas. Apparently, some country or another sent them to try to gain control of the Legacy.

We're not about to let them do that!

Let's head to the old Oresoren Village to investigate.

No. 70: Attack of the Ninjas!
Author: Moses Sandor

My turn! Man, Senel, you were really getting into it!

We headed for the Old Oresoren Village to look into the ninjas, and found their boss Solon instead. I wanted to take care of him right then and there, but he went and disappeared on us.

It turns out Solon raised Jay, which would explain why Jay's been acting so strange.

Jay came and suggested we go after Solon before Solon comes after us. Now that's the kind of plan I like!

On to the Ruins of Frozen Light!

No. 71: The Boy Starts Growing Up
Author: Norma Beatty

Hey, Red, calm down a little!

We headed to the Ruins of Frozen Light to take care of So-So, but it turned out to be a trap.

JJ tricked us, and Shirl got kidnapped...That little punk!

We went to the Oresoren village to try and learn something, but the place was totally deserted. It turned out the Oresoren had all left to try and save Jay.

Would everybody PLEASE stop doing their own thing, already?!

Still, thanks to the Oresoren, we got Shirl and JJ back. Now that we're all together again, we can take on anything!

On to the Mirage Palace to take care of So-So!

Leave it to me! -Moses

No. 72: Battle with Solon
Author: Chloe Valens

Norma, start writing proper titles or Will's going to become upset with you.

We successfully defeated Solon at the Mirage Palace. The Oresoren were all safe, as well.

I wonder what Jay wrote on his Star Festival leaf? Shirley, please let me know later.

In the midst of celebrating our victory, the black mist returned. Then a woman in black appeared and suddenly attacked Grune.

What could be happening?

I hope Grune is all right.

Character Quest: Grune

No. 73: Schwartz
Author: Shirley Fennes

We returned to Werites Beacon with Grune still unconscious.

The woman in black seemed to know her. What sort of relationship might they have?

Grune finally awoke. Fortunately, she had no ill effects from the injury, but she still seemed bothered by the woman in black.

She said that the woman in black is called Schwartz.

Now, we head for the Bridge to help Grune regain her memory. We are ready for any danger that might await us.

Still, I wonder why Grune knows where Schwartz is...

No. 74: Grune's Memories
Author: Senel Coolidge

We found Schwartz on the Bridge.

Grune wasn't able to recall anything, but it's clear that Schwartz is a danger.

We were planning to continue helping Grune search for her memories, but Grune suddenly went off on her own, leaving only a note.

Could Grune have actually remembered something from her meeting with Schwartz? Was she only pretending otherwise?

At any rate, considering Schwartz's power to immobilize us and her other strange abilities, it's clearly dangerous to let Grune go alone.

We're going to the Altar of the Sea, to ask the Raging Nerifes where Grune and Schwartz are.

Shirley, we're counting on you.

No. 75: At the Altar of the Sea
Author: Chloe Valens

We headed for the Altar of the Sea to ask the Raging Nerifes for help in locating Grune.

Nerifes responded to Shirley's request, and told us that Grune is in the Wings of Light.

We'll catch up with her -Senel

Of course we will! Hang on, G-Girl! -Norma

Let's get going! -Moses

No. 76: Memories Recovered
Author: Will Raynard

We learned Grune's location from the Raging Nerifes and headed for the Wings of Light.

By the time we arrived, the battle between Grune and Schwartz had already begun.

Grune finally recovered her memory in the course of the battle. However, Schwartz's strength was on a completely different level, and we were helpless against her.

Where could such unbelievable strength come from?

We need to consider our next course of action.

Let's get back to Werites Beacon.

No. 77: To the Great Nerifes
Author: Grune

I can see that no words will alter your determination.

I, too, hold the same determination to defeat Schwartz.

However, at this time, we lack the power to even reach her. To do so, we must once again speak with the Great Nerifes. You must let it know your feelings and our determination at the Altar of the Sea.

By the way, I must apologize for what I wrote here before. Even given my lack of memories, it can hardly be considered appropriate.

No. 78: For the Future

The Great Nerifes chose to coexist with us. We'll take the future into our own hands! -Senel

We will protect our world ourselves! -Chloe

For ourselves, and for Nerifes as well. -Will
