I. Rare Monsters:
Difficulty: Intermediate
Rewards: Aifread's Hat, Rare Monster title for Will, Pirate title for Moses
After receiving the Sorcerer's Scanner from Curtis and Isebella in the Character Sidequest part of the game, you will be able to fight rare monsters that you can not fight anywhere else. After finding all twenty monsters, talk to Kaz in Werites Beacon for your prizes.
Fallingwater. Search the cliff that views Werites Beacon.
Lumen Spring. In the location you met Mimi for the first time.
Great Hollow. In the lowest level of Great Hollow and the area before Poppo's Workshop. Search the lower right area where there is light from the ceiling.
Great Hollow. In the area where you fought the Grand Gaet on your first visit to Poppo's Workshop.
Waterways. In the secret room that Shirley hid in, near the save and health points.
Man-Eating Ruins. In the center of the room after the puzzle booth where you fought the Mimic Bed on your first visit.
Crystal Forest. In the first area by the spiderwebs after the two Chaotic Zones.
Hidden Fortress. In the area before the final room by the Chaotic Zone.
Earth Monument. South of the last two moving tiles.
Forest Of No Return. In the area after the Chaotic Zone with a lake beyond it.
Misty Mountains. In the third area, left of the lone rock by the save point.
The Crags. In the third area, after the Chaotic Zone that is northwest of the healing and saving points.
Bandit's Lair. In the basement, after the second Chaotic Zone.
Secret Passage. In the second area, after the Chaotic Zone.
Old Oresoren Village. In the lower level, by the pile of machines to the north.
Ruins of Frozen Light. In the second area, after going west and then going to the southern fork, by the crystal barrier.
Mirage Palace. In the most eastern fork after the Chaotic Zone, by the duct before the puzzle booth.
Mirage Palace. In the third area by the second save and health points, after the two Chaotic Zones.
Alter of the Sea. In the first area, northwest behind the Chaotic Zone.
Wings of Light. In the third area where the duct before the puzzle booth, head northeast and pass through the two Chaotic Zones in the lower path.
II. Blue Sephira:
Difficulty: Easy
Rewards: Ogre Sword, Turquoise, Revive Ring, Elven Boots, Mabo Pie Recipe, Blue Sephira
After receiving the Sorcerer's Scanner from Curtis and Isebella in the Character Sidequest part of the game, you are able to take on this side quest. The side quest requires you to find the Blue Sephira for Kyril. Head to the graveyard area of Werites Beacon, and enter the mansion. Speak to Kyril, and he will ask if you could assist him on finding the Blue Sephira. He will provide clues at the beginning of each Character Quest. The final clue can be acquired at the end of Jay's Character Quest. The items that you find are yours to keep, including the Blue Sephira. You will have to stop by Kyril's mansion while having the Blue Sephira to witness the cut-scene and complete this sidequest. Finding all of the items is not necessary for witnessing the cut-scene.
Available: Will's Character Quest
Location: The Quiet Lands. Search within the sands below the base of the Geoglyph.
Available: Norma's Character Quest
Location: Man-Eating Ruins. In the final chamber of the Ruins. Search the top-center of the chamber.
Available: Interlude
Location: Village of the Ferines. Inside Shirley's room; near the window.
Available: Chloe's Character Quest
Location: Forest of No Return. In the Bandit's camp area, in the larger crater.
Available: Moses’ Character Quest
Location: Misty Mountains. In the final area where the Sphynx, in the back.
Available: Jay's Character Quest
Location: Secret Passage. In the area where you fought the Ninja, at the end of the passage.
III. Hidden Items:
Difficulty: Easy
Rewards: Scan Master title for Norma, Items below
After receiving the Sorcerer's Scanner from Curtis and Isebella in the Character Sidequest part of the game, you will be able to Use the Sorcerer's Scanner on certain locations to find rare items. In order to receive the Scan Master title, you will have to complete the Blue Sephira quest. The items that are here are not included in the Blue Sephira side quest. You must find all the hidden items to gain the Scan Master title.
Falling Water. Under the tree that is near the save point.
Great Hollow. After a Chaotic Zone with nothing behind it, on the right side of the second level.
Waterways. Behind a Chaotic Zone next to the treasure chest with a Toast in it.
Man-Eating Ruins. In the third area, after a Chaotic Zone that has nothing behind it.
Man-Eating Ruins. In the third area of the ruins, after the Chaotic Zone that is south of the treasure chest with the LoveLove Straw in it.
Crystal Forest. In the fourth area, on the platform behind the Chaotic Zone.
Hidden Fortress. In the area after the first save point, behind the Chaotic Zone that is to the west.
The Crags. In the third area, behind the Chaotic Zone in the eastern fork.
Bandit's Lair. From the entrance of the lair, head east and then south; it is behind the Chaotic Zone.
Secret Passage. The first area after passing the Old Oresoren Village, inside the Chaotic Zone.
Mirage Palace. In the area after the warp puzzle, after the Chaotic Zone.
Wings of Light. The area before the final area with the long bridge, behind the Chaotic Zone.
IV. Caroline:
Difficulty: Easy
Rewards: Capoeriacco Robe
Speak to Caroline at certain times of the game to receive a special item. Caroline's house is on the east side of Werites Beacon, next to Carmela's house. Unlike the Berry and McKenzie sidequest, it is a bit more lenient regarding times to talk to Caroline.
The first time you must talk to Caroline is in Chapter Five, before leaving Werites Beacon and heading to the Village of the Ferines. The next time to talk to her would be at the Character Quest Introduction, before leaving Werites Beacon and heading to Lumen Spring. Next is in Will's Character Quest, after exploring the Waterways, and before heading to the town's gate. The next time to talk to Caroline is at the Interlude, at the start of the chapter before heading to Will's house. The final time to talk to Caroline is at Chloe's Character Quest, after returning from the Forest of No Return, before heading to the hospital. Talk to her twice in order to get the Capoeriacco Robe.
V. The Love-Love Couple:
Difficulty: Intermediate
Rewards: Clear Shell, Dreaming Girl title for Chloe
This side quest is similar to Caroline's side quest. You must speak to Berry and McKenzie at specific times in order to receive a special item. Berry and McKenzie's house is on the east side of Werites Beacon, and it is heart-shaped.
The first time to talk to Berry and McKenzie is at Chapter Five, after returning from Alter of the Sea and before heading to the Lighthouse. The next time to talk to them is at Chapter Seven, after visiting the Mirage Palace and before heading to the Wings of Light. The next time to talk to them is at the Character Quest Introduction, after entering Werites Beacon for the first time since the Main Senario, and before heading to Port-On-Rage. The next time to speak to Berry and McKenzie is at Will's Character Quest, after exploring the Waterways and before going to the town's gate. The next time to talk to Berry and McKenzie is at Interlude, at the start of the chapter before heading to Will's house. The final time to talk to Berry and McKenzie is at Chloe's Character Quest, at the start of the chapter before heading to the Hidden Fortress. You will be rewarded with the Clear Shell, and the Dreaming Girl title for Chloe.
VI. Quiz Grandpa:
Difficulty: Intermediate
Rewards: 765 kg Hammer, Kitty Cap, Bear Suit, Emperor's New Clothes
This side quest is only available in the Character Quest part of the game. There are four cottages scattered around the Legacy, with the Quiz Grandpa in each of the cottages. By answering ten questions correctly in each cottage, you will receive a prize, and a key to the next cottage (excluding the last cottage). Each cottage's questions have certain themes to them. If you get a question wrong, you can always try again, but with a different set of questions. To start the side quest, you must have the Bow Key that is obtained automatically at the start of the Character Quest Introduction.
Location: Take the duct from Werites Beacon and go to the Secret Passage. Head north from the Secret Passage and follow the path between the Secret Passage and Crystal Forest. The Bow Cottage can be found along the way. When you answer all ten questions right, Quiz Grandpa will open the duct, which will teleport you to an island where your prize is located inside a treasure chest. The prize will be the Port Key, the 765 kg Hammer, and a skit.
Theme: Major and Minor Characters.
Location: Take the duct from Werites Beacon and go to the Alter of the Sea. Head southwest from the Alter of the Sea and follow the coastline until you reach the beach. Eventually, a very small island with trees surrounding it will appear. From there, continue and cross the shallow areas of the water. The Port Cottage is at the end of a series of small islands and shallow areas. After answering the questions, you will receive the Starboard Key, and the Kitty Cap.
Theme: The Legacy and Monsters
Location: Take the duct from Werites Beacon and go to the Secret Passage. Go north from the duct and then head west to step onto the shallow areas of water. Head south in the shallow water, passing the duct inside the shallow areas, until you reach a small island. Keep heading south and pass a series of islands until you reach the cottage that is on the tip of an eastern island. The reward for answering the questions is the Stern Key, and the Bear Suit.
Theme: Story and Characters Developments
Location: Go to the Lighthouse and take the elevator to the Quiet Lands. Head southeast to reach a metal walkway. At the end of the walkway, there will be a duct that teleports you to Convict Island. Pass through a series of islands and shallow areas until you reach the Stern Cottage. The prize for answering the single question is the Emperor's New Clothes, and a skit.

VII. Carmela & Baker's Hat:
Difficulty: Easy
Rewards: Large Basket, Baker's Hat, Home Cooking title for Jay, Poster Girl title for Shirley, Meat Stew Bread Bowl Recipe
First, you must find all 18 recipes from Mimi, and have a full bread basket. Speak to Carmela to receive the Large Basket. Carmela's house is in Senel's neighborhood.
After learning all the recipes and cooking each recipe ten times, visit Carmela again. She will give you the final recipe in the game: Meat Stew Bread Bowl. Jay will get the Home Cooking title automatically from her.
After learning and cooking the all recipes (including the Meat Stew Bread Bowl) ten times, enter the house with a waterwheel twice by exiting and re-entering. Talk to Mimi on your second visit to receive the Baker's Hat item and the Poster Girl title for Shirley.
VIII. Shiina's Songs:
Difficulty: Easy
Rewards: Most of the songs from the ToL Soundtrack
Talk to Shiina, the Inn's Piano Player, to listen to the Tales of Legendia soundtrack. Shiina is at the first basement of the Dreaming Traveler's Inn in Werites Beacon. The songs will only be available in the Character Quest part of the game. Shiina's songs are a bit limited at first, but you can unlock more songs by feeding Shiina certain bread. The following are songs that can be unlocked from each bread.
