Gifs and such
Hey, it's your friendly neighborhood Gif Middleman, substance J! A handful of new Gifs have been added, from games such as Match of the Millennium, Samurai Shodown! 2, and Sonic Pocket Adventure. Be sure to check out the GODLIKE Dan super taunt Gif. There are a bunch more Gifs just waiting to be added, but I've run out of time for right now. I've got to quickly get to sleep so I can wake up, take some pills, and enjoy an hour of oral surgery. If I'm coherent tomorrow, I'll add them then. If not, I'll try to have them up on the 29th (!).

Magazines
You know...those little paper things you used to survive on before you found the Internet? Well, the latest issue of EGM (which finally arrived at SJ's house today) continues to devote space to NGPC software. A Gals Fighters preview, Faselei screens, etc. No reviews this time around, though they do mention that a Nyko Worm light has been confirmed for NGPC (let's keep our fingers crossed on this one...). Half way around the world, Cool Boarders Pocket received a favorable score of 23/40 (5, 5, 7, 6) from Japan's Weekly Famitsu Magazine (thanks for the info, Akaimizu!)
US Dive Alert Screens
New Dive Alert screens from SNK have been uploaded for your viewing pleasure. They were planned to be posted here on the 12th...but...ya know. Check 'em out anyway!

Overview:
Faselei, the new adventure RPG for the NeoGeo Pocket Color, is set 100
years in the future. At this time, wars are fought by a new breed of
foot soldier. These mechanized destroyers, known as Toy Soldiers, are
used both to create and thwart revolutions.
A kingdom is in crisis: The king has been assassinated and a revolution
has begun. Your squad has been asked to help bring peace again.
Players take command of their Toy Soldiers and go into battle, clearing
missions to gain experience and money. Parts, weapons, and supplies are available to upgrade and equip your Toy Soldier, even down to the CPU. Players can also purchase new Toy Soldier models and upgrade their entire squad.
Features:
3 Game Modes - Training, Story, and Mission
New Control and Attack System - Instead of turn-based attacks, players
use "computer chips" to program their Toy Soldier’s next moves,
anticipating what the enemy will do next
Upgrade your Toy Soldier with money, items, and parts collected during
battles, or purchased from the supply store
NGP Link Compatible for head-to-head battles
Data Save Capabilities
Faselei is planned for release in North America this March.

New Review
substance J has finally posted his thoughts on SNK vs. Capcom: Match of the Millennium in his full Review, which has been added to the Games section.
Famitsu Report
A trip to Kinokuniya uncovered a bit of information today, from the pages of Weekly Famitsu Magazine. Within the recent issue was a single NGPC software review - SNK Gals' Fighters. Yumekobo's fem fighter score../../d straight 6's with the Famitsu crew, for a final score of 24/40. For those unfamiliar with Famitsu, such a score is considered above average by most gamers. Famitsu is generally pretty tough on games that aren't magically selected as the-next-big-thing (FF, GT, etc..), so you can probably bump that score up a bit. Oh, who are we trying to kid...we just want some hyper-Kawaii fighting action!

Retail Support Continues to Expand
Corporate HQ, Babbages Etc, has recently announced that all of it's 500+ US stores, going by such names as Babbage's, Software Etc, Super Software, and Gamestop, will begin carrying SNK's current line of Neo Geo Pocket hardware, software, and accessories. Originally, at the time of its release in early June of 1999, the Neo Geo Pocket Color was available only at selected test locations (reportedly fewer than 20 stores, nationwide). By the 2nd week of February, all stores should have the products fully stocked. Thanks to Ghostwalker of Starbase 299 letting us in on this great news.
Gals Fighters Info
Ron Kiser has just informed us that the Japanese release of Yumekobo's recent fem-fighter, Gals Fighters, does not support English text display. So, those uncomfortable with Japanese text would best be advised to pick up a kana chart, or wait for the US version, which is planned for later this month. The listing for Gals Fighters on the Software Info page has been updated accordingly.

Now for what's been updated around here.
