It's almost here. A day of madly opening presents and relaxing with new games and other goodies...hopefully no socks. It's also the NGPC's 1st Christmas shopping season, and it's packed with tons of great games. We haven't updated much lately (SJ is still recovering from the flu), but you can be sure that we'll be back in full force after the Holidays, with full reviews of SNK's stunning year-end lineup. Card Fighters' Clash
Online importer NCS has stocked the Asian version of SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighters Clash. Both versions contain all English text, and appear to be packed in plastic boxes (as most other Asian releases are). The official US version of the game is due around next week, as we reported over the weekend.

More new GIFs by SyxxPac have been added to the GIF Section. This time around, the focus is on Metal Slug and Card Clash.

Sonic Available Now!
Our sources were right on the money, as Sonic Pocket Adventure has now found its way to retail in the US. For those interested in ordering online, The Rage, one of Sector: NGP choice online retailers, has now stocked the game. Oddly, the Japanese release date has been pushed back to January 13th, 2000. Looks like North American Neo Geo Pocket freaks got lucky this time!

The new GIFs by SyxxPac have yet to be added, due to serious Hotmail problems, Computer problems, Network problems, personal problems, and stampeding Sheep. Well, maybe one of those isn't really true. The new GIFs (which are very cool, as expected) will be added...well, whenever possible. No promises this time.

***Late Breaking Game News***
Finally, a bit of sanity in the world of NGP software release dates. We can now confirm that Sonic Pocket Adventure has already shipped, and will be in stores by next week, and it's quite possible that you might find a copy over the weekend if you're lucky. Also, Card Fighter's Clash and Match of the Millennium are set to be shipped in the very near future, and barring any unforeseen circumstances, should be in stores the week of December 13th. The Coming Soon section has once again been updated to reflect these changes. On a side note, the new GIFs from SyxxPac will be uploaded tomorrow afternoon, rather than tonight as expected.

Sonic. Period.
The fine folks at Gaming Age have a posted a review of SNK's Sonic Pocket Adventure. Well, that's all fine and dandy...but what's up with our copies? Or rather, lack of them? SNK USA's ever-so-optimistic date of December 3rd seems to have been scrapped, as the game is now listed for "December." Hopefully things will be cleared up soon, regardless of the outcome. Our Coming Soon section has been updated to reflect this change. The lack of solid information regarding SNK USA's Winter lineup is becoming quite an annoyance.

Syxx has whipped up a number of new KOF gifs, including Chizuru, Kyo, Athena, and Shingo taunts, all of which have been added to the Gif Section.

Card Clash Reviewed, Rated...
...And available now. Available now?! Gamefan Online recently posted a review of SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighter's Clash (US version), and there is something a bit odd about it. The positive comments? No... the solid score of 88 points? Nope... "Available Now"? Yes, that's it! Joking aside (or not...), this is rather strange to see in text. As far as we know, the release of Card Fighter's Clash is still pegged for mid-late December, after the release of Match of the Millennium. Is this a wonderful push forward in SNK's schedule, a simple typo, a government conspiracy, or possibly a hallucination? Better start harassing your local game store employees just to be safe.

The North American version of Dark Arms ~Beast Busters 1999~ has been slowly released to local and online retail over the past week. Thus, it has been removed from the Coming Soon section and added to the Software Info page.
