Rockman Brings The Combos...Again!
Rockman Pocket's apparent combo obsession is displayed in his latest effort, a King of Fighters R-2 combo video made possible by the magic of emulators, vidcap software, and cheesy rave music. Ahh, technology. The large (12mb+) MPEG movie shows off combos for all characters, along with a cameo appearance by none other than Mr. T (wink wink, forum-going retrofreaks). Right now the file is stored...."offsite"...in other words, on a free Geocities account (to save space and energy in the mean time). Enough jibba jabba! The download should be problem free, so check it out! It is also accessible from the KOF R-2 menu page in the Games section for future reference.

Other Stuff
The Coming Soon section has been updated now that "the" games have been released in Japan. Just one lonely Pachinko title left. Right now we're just waiting for US importers to stock the trio of new titles, and hope to have some coverage up shortly after.

Neo Geo Freak Report
While you're waiting for millions of ballots to be hand counted and undoubtedly misrepresented, all in an effort to finally crown one of the two worst US presidential candidates in (most likely) your lifetime...there's a brand new issue of Neo Geo Freak on the stands to keep you busy. Kinda. Neo Geo Pocket coverage is redundantly light and uninformative, but there are a few notable bits to mention. The Neo Poke section offers new shots of (guess...) Big Bang Pro Wrestling and Nigeronpa, all of which have been seen before. They're still listed for release on the 23rd, so at least we have something to count on. The Neo Poke section gives a bit more coverage to Infinity Cure (also set for November 23rd), showing off gameplay features and character profiles [page 1, page 2]. Note: Yuka likes miniskirts. As for the rest of the issue, things look rather dreary for SNK's future in general. Aside from really strung out strategy guides for KOF 2000 and Capcom vs. SNK (which isn't even their own game), there is little substance in these recent installments of Neo Geo Freak. Oh well. Leave it to the cosplayers to keep the scene alive. Iori is looking kinda cute all of a sudden...
