  U.K.
Rally of Great Britan

45% gravel 40% mud 15% tarmac

  Keys to Success
Care not speed is the key to a fast time.

Stay on the mud by modulating throttle/brakes.

Use the handbrake to setup for hairpin corners.

General Overview

The most diverse rally of the championship. You will find yourself driving on gravel, mud and tarmac with rain and fog as your enemy. Be sure to examine the stages closely and pick your tyres carefully. Most drivers will lean towards a mud tyre but some stages are faster with gravel ones. A difficult rally to judge due to the varying British weather so keep a close eye on on the sky because it should play a big roll in your tyre selection. A suspension on the soft side will absorb some of the bumps and a short gearbox will help you get through the twists and turns faster. Drive this rally carefully and avoid off road encounters as aggressive driving will be punished.

Colin's Photo Guide

Tarmac is just one of the many types of road surfaces you will see in the U.K.

It looks like bad weather might be rolling in soon...an all to common site in the U.K.

This early morning fog is just another element you will have to contend with in the U.K.

The day's weather changes for the worse and now mud and rain make this logging section even more difficult.

Even though you'll need them to make good time on many stages, don't forget that mud tires have poor grip on tarmac.

My impressive run took a turn for the worse when the rains came.
