Im working ona series of nx class bridge retextures, ive been doing a personal nx01 s4 bridge theat nearly ready and im thinkin of the following.

NX-02 Columbia
NX-01 Twilight Bridge
NX-01 E2 (If i get enough research)
(Since theres goin to be no NX-03 maybe that one)
NX-01 Terran Empire Variation when it airs and any vhange to the lcars.
....maybe more.....

i dont know if it should be choosable lcars and selected bridge textures.

also ignis asked me if i was going to modify the nx01.nif bridge model to alter it for the columbia. does anyone know where i can get a copy of the bridge in 3ds. as milkshape cant import the original.

correct me if I'm wron but I always thought Llorian'S Enterprise and the NX-02 were basically the same (bridge-wise), judging from those pillars...

Dont go there with modifiying bridge models its an expert thing mickJo i tried to with my season 4 nx bridge. You know my love of NX classes im project less so if u need any help just PM Smile. If you can get the 3ds it may be worth a shot bout i doubt your get that lol. Are you gonna do to NX-01's the original and the 2154 (season 4) refit or is mine just so good you cant beat it (Im just big headed) any way lookin foward to seeing these Smile

season 1, 2 ( 1 row of blinking things)
season 3 ( 2 rows of blinking things)
Season 4 ( 3 rows of blinking things)
(Season 5-7 all monitors now have blinking things and noting else) lol....

kinda worked on a columbia bridge here it is.

if you need any lcars.. ive been making ent ones for the last few weeks, i could throw some together of whatever you wanted pretty much.

also i have most of ent season 1-2 in pdtv and seasons 3-4 in hdtv, if you need any screen caps then lemme know

ive got plenty of monitor textures but i could do with some images of the columbia lcars and the e2 lcars.

ive got some basic ideas for them, but cannon screens like the ones used by the show will do.

hey mickjo, i did the nx, so i have the model, i can send it in max format so you can edit it..
if you can give me the fixed model (please donīt touch the chairs or doors in the model), with textures and lighting, i can probably make a new nif of it... animations and stuff will be the same as the current nx.

This sounds really cool

You gonna attempt animated textures on those posts lol you may need to put a warning (may drive u insane during use lol)

Also i found if you need the lcars to look diffrent u need to increase the size of them double seem to do when i did it (most ppl have better PC's than when the bridge first came out so should not effect 2 many ppl) i u need help im still around this sounds so cool i keep a watch on this thread Smile

thanks lc but one prob...

i aint got anythin that can read max files. i only have the 3ds. importer/exporter for gmax (tacky bastard arnt i....).

here are all my importers 3DS, DXF, MD2, MD3, MDC, MDS, MDX, SMD & Wavefront OBJ.

scott: ill think about animation, but i the not the best modder ever and most of the stuff i need to learn. right now im in the deep end with this. with only gmax and milkshape as a lifeline....

the trouble with the 3ds format is that it won't hold the position in space.. or even the scale of the objects.

quick suggestion it means more work for u LC sorry lol.
If Mickjo sends the add on bit's in 3ds to lc he can put them in and rescale (there not that hard the the top goes at the top and bottem at bottem) if mickjo sends the 3ds of his one he showed us earlier as a map there only a few low poly bits.

Just a crazy suggestion from some one whos up way to late and i may be babbeling lol

yes.. in fact it does not "go black", all that happens is a change of the textures alpha curve, what makes it go darker.

Here's a few updates for the current 3 bridges in works: 2151, 2153, columbia.

off topic i was wondering, is it allowed to re edit the nx01 model. i know you have to ask permission but i wouldnt know where.

ive done it for me personally but i would like to know if it would interest anyone. it will make things look more effective when ignis does v3 of his ap nx01...

?? well you dont need to ask permision, its a p81 model. however youd need to get c2s permision for editing his textures.

however ive got a v2 out which has more accurate damage, and also v3 (with the nx pack) will over come those mirroring problems. and will have much better base textures (thanks to lc).

nice bridges btw.

wow nice to see the mirror problem sorted. that looks so much better than the others with no identical damage....

btw 2 problems :

1): is there some trick to making new bridges..., i copy the py's in all the needed places adjust them to the new bridge model locations and names. and when i go ingame there is no bridge, just teh loading screen when u press space bar you get the outisde of the ship.

2): there is no sound ingame, everything seems fine with normal pc sounds and the windows media player but no ingame sound at all. there is no probs in the screen dump... any ideas. (also there is a problem with the AI, no ships in qb do anything or resond to orders).

what permisions are you looking for? if your releasing that damaged nx01 its p81s model as i said, you dont need to worry about permisions for that.

you may will need permisions for c2s textures which youve edited there.

if your asking in terms of the bridges, well what have you used making the bridge?


in terms of getting the bridge in bc, well is it the same size as the old nx01 bridge? if so then the anims should work fine. if the bridge wont load into the game you need to go through all your scripts and look for any errors (a console report might help)


ps: if you think that shot looks good, well thats using some hashed up base textures, and you cant see half the detail from there Smile

i mean permission to release the new textures. i know lc made it (with others?....) so i might need it of him, i just want to know that i wont get in sh*t if i release the taster pack....
