Very nice job on the Endurance. Ship looks great
Can't wait to see it textured, alongside it's "big" brother the Sovereign... hehe

I definately wouldn't call this a bash. A Sovvie-based starship yes, but no bash.
I second the motions, can't wait to see this baby finished.

do you play lots of armada?
it will have much less firepower than a cube. possibly simmilar to a sovereign
ps the eudurance is amazing

I do not and have not ever played or owned any game from the Armada series.

I'm glad you all like it. No updates for today though. I just started working at my new job today and I'm quite exhausted from the drive home. Plus, I only got 2 hours of sleep last night. I can't believe it took me 1 whole freaken hour to drive 20 miles from Holywood to my house. I'm telling you, L.A. traffic has to be the worst! Well, I think tomorrow night I might be doing some more work on the ship. I have to get the mesh done by Sunday, or atleast Wednesday. 'Cause on Thursday night, I start working the graveyard shift, and I don't know if I will be awake enough to do any modeling. As far as textures go, someone else is going to have to do that, 'cause that is outside of my skill level.
Now, the only question that I have is, should I make actuall escape pods onto the ship , or leave thoughs for textures? Right now, poly count is somewhere between 8 and 9000, and I still have to do the rest of the phasers and some detail that I want to add on the dorsal side of the ship and on the ventral by where the deflector is. I'm also debating on making the RCS thrusters as well.

Don't model in the escape pods, and model in the RCS thrusters if ya ask me.

Agreed, though if it's possible perhaps both!!

No, I'm with Adonis: Don't model in the escape pods. If they were in the style of the Intrepid's pods, I'd say go for it, but the escape pods on the Sovereign Class are flush with the hull.

Alright, I did some more re-adjustments to some detail stuff, such as the quantum torpedo launcher and detailed up the deflector dish. Thanks to the new photos that the original designer emailed to me, I was able to figure out where the aft torpedo launchers were placed. I got the forward photon torpedo launcher installed, the forward tractor beam emitter, just under the deflector dish, and the aft tractor beam emiter (where I previously thought the aft torp launcher was supposed to be). Also thanks to the photos from the O.D., I was able to finish up the plasma vent tower (just above the aft torp launcher). Ventral phaser on the 2ndary hull is also added. Now all I need to do is add 6 - 8 more phasers, RCS thrusters, some extra detail on the dorsal side of the ship, and this thing should be ready for textures.

Any chance of adding some more segments to that deflector dish? Looks a little "blocky" to me. Other then that, the mesh looks great.

it still looks like it has been cut at the end of the nacelles, but the rest looks great imo.

Mesh done! Did some more re-adjustments to the design. Added some more polys to the deflector per request of Darkthunder. Elongated the nacells a bit. Installed the remaining phasers (apparently there were only 4 more, not 8 ), made the bussard collectors and the ventral phaser more profound, and added some more detail on the dorsal side of the ship. I didn't do the RCS thrusters like I previously said. After looking at my reference, they hardly stick out. I would have to do indintations to the ship instead of building something on it. So I figured that it wasn't really worth the trouble. Besides, the poly count is now at 10135. I really didn't want to go higher than that for just adding very minor inditations. Well, here are the pics....
....now I need to find someone to map and texture this thing. Hm......

very nice ship, good modelling. Hopefully it will get some nice textures for the game. My only dislike is the way that the secondary hull "flows" into the saucer section from the forward view. It seems very abrupt, nonetheless, very nice ship.
