I have been inundated as of late with emails and tells in MSN asking if there is some kind of animosity between Nightsoft and LC Amaral, and rumors of a lawsuit filed by us against him has also surfaced. I would like to make two statements on this issue...
First, we have nothing but respect and admiration for LC Amaral, his astounding talent and his contribution to the community. He serves as an example for all modelers to follow, and we are sure he will exceed at anything he does in the future. It is true that he has chosen to leave the BC2 project, but his resignation in no way reflects on our dissatisfaction with him or his work...on the contrary, we feel very privileged to have had such a talented mesh mechanic on our team. The rumors of animosity between us is absolutely false...LC Amaral is a consummate professional and conducts himself at all times in this manner. Any suggestions to the contrary are simply ridiculous.
Second, the rumors of some kind of lawsuit are simply ridiculous. LC has a right to expect others to respect his work and his wishes thereof, and a right to defend both. Any statements of legality to this end are expected, welcomed and certainly prudent. Any modeler would be expected to do so. The suggestion that we would in some form wish to sue any modeler is ludicrous. We have never had reason to do so, and I do not see any reason we would ever do so in the future.
I hope this clears up this issue once and for all.
To the other issue, the forum slowdown, it appears to be systemwide. The entire gamespy server is experiencing slowdowns. We ask for your patience while we resolve this issue.

My god, who could make those kinds of rumors of LC?? I never met such an educated and talented person in the net ever in my entire life, whoever is (has been) making those rumors must be new to the community, if it does makes part of the community.

well, let's just throw it all into the wind before real noob-bashing should arise...
indeed, it would have been unfortunate should such petty rumors be blown up, by bored and lonely people that have nothing better to do with their lives but start fires...
but i think Raven's post here is enough to deflate that drama-balloon...

This is not interesting, this is to be ashamed of. Secondly, I think that Raven did the right thing to make this public, and I totally support LC in his decision to leave BC2, though it's a pity that he left the BC2 project...
Anyone who distributed/made this rumour should be ashamed of himself and should be put into a dark cave with no daylight for 20 years, to rethink what he's done, bacause this can't be explained away.

Well... that was enlightening. I didn't even know LC had left the BC2 project. Shows how much I know outside of the General discussion forums

Well I just didn't bother re-installing BC after my last format because there were so many files to sort out at the time, and i didn't feel like sifting through dozens of .RAR files to try and set BC back up to it's fully modded self.
