Im surprised youve been able to do all that without Pro/E deleting 90% of the model for no reason.
Funny
Have you used (and had bad experiences with) Pro/E in the past, or are you referring to bad experiences with other modeling programs?

Phaser will you release the mesh once it is finished or are you just going to show renders here.?
You know, I never really thought about that. Well, either way, once it's finished, I'm going to have to merge the parts and delete the extra faces (of which there are many). Then I'm going to texture it. Plus, I'm in extremely busy in real life, so it will be a while, regardless. But perhaps I'll release it. We'll see.

Used Pro/E last wendsday, was easy to use when it didnt delete stuff....i actually tried to make a connie from what i remembered. Dont have any pics, but now i realise the only thing that was right was the general shape (a saucer, second hull, 2 necelles).

Although i made a decent model of a Marker pen using it.

You used it last Wednesday? No kidding! Finally, I know someone else on this forum who uses Pro/E! Grin

I don't have any trouble with anything suddenly being deleted, though (we can talk about it more through the PM system, if you want Wink).

If your program stopped working, maybe you have to register or something, or maybe the trial time has expired (I get a lot of this)
It seems a shame you can't carry on, it looks really good - i bet when you've got it textured it'll look like the one from ds9

That's exactly the problem, KirkNCC1701. I should be able to get the program working now, though.

Expect an update soon.

I don't mean to be annoying but this would be so cool for bc, we don't have a really good tos 1701 to go with cg sov etc. Will it have the animated bussard collectors?

I doubt BC could handle this model, even though it's pretty basic overall. There are many small details, though (some of which I haven't modeled yet).

I'd like it to have animated bussard collectors, but I don't know if that's possible for a CG model. It is possible for a BC ship, though. And if I do somehow convert it to BC, I'll definitely animate them.

Good good. As a thought, can you smooth out the secondary hull? It's looking like you could have put more segments in it for the close ups. Or at least more segments in the dish.

Hey listen, I was just thinking about that seperation has never been shown onscreen whilst it was mentioned. If I were you I would intergrate that too.

I once read in a Trek book that the Nacelles can be ejected from their pylons, mabey that can be possible when there's a critical emergency happening...just suggesting here.

PS: Great to see the project back in Action, Phaser!
