Here is the current list of concepts I would like to see become models. Some are already in the works......if you are working on a model, please indicate so in this thread so I can add your name and the status of the model. If you look at the Infinity, you will see an example of what I will place next to the name of each ship.
More ships may be added later, and others may drop off the list. Please note that CGI work is appointed by me, so you have to indicate the desire to make one of the CGI models needed. They require extreme patience, as it is important to make them exactly as needed, meaning that you will have to be willing to work with me closely and be prepared for frequent changes and adjustments.
If I missed anyone, please let me know in this thread.
There are alot of models in the works, so make your dibs now. I have nothing against two or more people working on the same ship in competition. It is advised, however, that the rolls for the ships needed in que be filled first before more than one person works on a ship.
Bridges may or may not be made for the vessels indicated. It is likely that one bridge will be slightly modified for other ships in that race. As a general rule, there should be three classes of bridges in each race; Light, Medium and Heavy. Certain Dreadnoughts or Light Cruisers may require special bridges.
In case you were unaware, the payment rules and levels are as follows.
To be paid directly you must be 18 or older, and be willing to accept paypal payments. You will not be compensated for your work until the model is finished. Once payment is recieved you can release the product to us for distribution. We will not release the product, nor ask for delivery for release until you have received your compensation.
We pay 30 dollars for a model and 15 dollars for a texture set. CGI work can reach compensation levels that range from 100 to 500 dollars, depending on the quality of the mesh, it's intended use and time invested. CGI payment will not occur until a game version is also produced and is ready for release. Approved kitbashes are compensated as if they are new vessels.
Models become property of Nightsoft for free distribution only.....We will not distribute a contracted and compensated model for purposes of profit without providing proper compensation to the modeler. Compensation levels vary, but can be equal to 10 percent of the profit margin derived from the sale of the product, or the profit level relative to the product's participation in said product.
You are allowed to distribute the product as you wish, with two points of understanding......you will not gain profit from the model, nor will you distribute the product without our standard GPL licence included in the Readme.
All further modifications of the design are the property of Nightsoft regardless of who makes the design change or kitbash. Nightsoft reserves all rights in this matter, and can change the details of the agreement at any time without notice.
If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian to work on this project, and they must receive the funds on your behalf. You are not allowed to provide any product free of charge to this project, nor are you expected to do so. All products to be included in BC2 must be Nightsoft property, and therefore must be compensated. There are no exceptions.

There are no plans to include the Pioneer and the Scarab in BC2. We could start a poll to see if people want them in the game. The Pkor is the Ferengi fighter. What is the current percentages you want?

.....we are not allowed to distribute the model for profit unless you are compensated equal to 10 percent of the profit margin derived from the sale or product relative to it's participation in said product.
Raven, this line should read "We will not distribute a contracted and compensated model for purposes of profit without providing proper compensation to the modeler. Compensation levels vary, but can be equal to 10 percent of the profit margin derived from the sale of the product, or the profit level relative to the product's participation in said product. ".

Wow, good to have a lawyer onboard...
*Has no clue what any of this means, but begins speaking "intelligently"*
Well there was the derivative of product margin A, which led with consequence to the derivative of product margin B, which in turn created an industrial product of the derivative of margin C, and now we can all go home.

I cant tell you right now, because I lost the model along with the rest of my files. I will have your latest ship you sent me, but if you can send the others in thier current state I can take a peek and see what they need.
I think it was ready.......just not positive.

Honestly LC, I am unsure.......it all depends how the rewrite unfolds. If the storyline can be played, a CGI is not needed. Otherwise, it may be it's only appearance. Right now I would say no, but that is tenative.

Bridges are added. Sorry about that Viper.
By the way, BC2 team members are allowed to directly edit the list to add thier name to the models they want. Just make sure to follow the format of the list.

I would sooner say the lightmaps, animations and the conversion take up the most time.
I believe Sneaker said that the script for each bridge takes up a half a hour.

Model- few days to a week depending on detail.
lightmaps- a good 3-4 hours [if I feel like doing it]
conversion- 5-10 minutes
Scripts- 30 minutes to 2 hours. Depends on if there are a bunch of bugs to work out.
Animations- several days to several weeks.
Now, when I am averaging only 1-2 hours of free time per day, you can guess I aint willing to spend it in front of a computer going crosseyed trying to complete bridges. I only work on them when I have days off. Which are seldom. I work 6-7 days a week.
