I've got to say, I kind of dig it. It's sort of in keeping with the natural progression that platforms have taken in real life. The textures look quite "futuristic", to match the revolutionary design.
I think it may look a little more "balanced" if the nacelles were actually seperate from the hull. You might even consider designing a varient with a modernized version of the Nebula's mission pod.

Sorry for the bump; I haven't checked BCU in a while.
Anyway, this looks great! I've seen Atolm's design for the 'I' before. Great job modeling it. And Mr. Dufrane did an excellent job on the textures. Well done!

Very pretty, but why ???
The rotational mass must be astronomical, and if you destroy one of the warp engines the radiation will kill most everything in an entire saucer section.
...But it'll make a huge target for a couple of my fast X- cruisers.
Well done !!!

To be different, to push the boundries of what is trek and its design lineage (to sorta quote atolm in my words lol). o and btw, she prolly isn't a fast turning ship (she ain't big though, so she can easily pitch), but she is a phaser boat with 13 some phaser strips (to put this in perspective, there is no blind spot even a fighter could exploit) and armored to boot, i'm sure she'll be more than enough trouble for your supposed x ships, assuming they ain't uberfied and to fanboish

13 phaser strips ain't 'uberish' ??
anyhow I put it up against 'my' personal ship with a 5 Scorpion fighter compliment (stock d/l from BCFiles) and the fighters ALONE ripped her to shreds, I never fired a shot.
I'll try again to lose vs my KF5R, but I may have better luck losing with say a K'Vort.
My comments weren't meant to be inflammatory, I was just commenting on the strange appearance. It is nice looking but I must be the only one whose read and understands the 'star trek tech manual' and can see from this design the math just don't quite add up.

LOL it is heavily armored, like a Dreadnaught. It looks like at high warp velocities that the saucer pylons would be weak against torsional stresses. But that doesnt apply to BC lol.. just some engineers' observations!
