At current BCU is experiencing technical difficulties. Users are being logged out at random and are having to continually log back on. All efforts are being made to resolve this problem as soon as possible.
I appriciate your patience on this matter.
Sean
TEMP SOLUTION: Please clear BCU cookies, Completely close your browser then login as normal. Its a temp fix and should allow you to browse whilst remaining logged in. Please note the auto login function is not currently working at the momenet

Was having the same problems of not being able to stay logged in - or only being able to stay logged in to post a message.
I ended up clearing out all my cookies and have no further problems since - in other words; once I log in, I stay logged in now.
Is it possible that the error that caused the original problems has also messed up the cookie that would be stored on the users PC? If so, the quick fix is to delete cookies...

clearing my cookies of this site helps in *getting* logged on at all, but *staying* logged on still does not work for me...
Using firefox, that is...
/edit: deleting the cookies and updating the link fixes the problem for me.

Deleting cookies now seems to solve the problem.
edit: Just noticed - the URL now includes the sid variable when navigating the site - when the login problem was occurring, it was because the sid wasn't getting transferred while navigating the forum.

I was beginning to get the impression that this account was tampered with as was my last one. Never could get that one back up and running. Glad to see this is a server-wide problem, and that it's being addressed.

At least you we're able to log in at all. I had to reset my account AND delete the cookies just to get back on.
Word of WARNING- If you delete all the cookies you lose ALL passwords to every other site your a member of. In my case I use a different PW on different sites. ONLY delete the gamespy cookie which can be found in: C:\WINDOWS\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files. Your looking for a text file called: cookie: 'your name'@gamespy.com/
Hope this helps.

Firefox has a sep password saving tool. |
Nice.
But as the cookie thingy only effects my office computer because on my home computer cookies from gamespy are automatically blocked ( ) my home computer is uneffected by this new glitch. I'm in no hurry to replace good ole' IE anyhow, but thanks for the info.

Both I and Raven are organising some major maintenance work, which should see BCU restored to its Prime Fully Working condition. Please bear with us for now until these problems have been resolved.
Again we appriciate your patience on this matter.
Thanks

I have the habit of deleting the cookies so I only had this problem so much with my mean, keen, Opera broswing machine.
Which I like very much mind you. How can anyone survive without tabbed broswing in that thing called IE is beyond me.
I had Firefox for a while but Opera is just as fast, fully costumizable, and has by default things you need add-ons in Firefox like Ad-blocker. You just go to block content mode and shift-kill anything you don't like.
Pour example' I have blocked all of your sigs no offense. I am tired of seeing an endless stream of sovereigns, voyagers, userbars and what not every time I scroll, they make my pages longer...
