This ships general shape was inspired by a design I saw on the net. Unfortunately I can't find the original design that inspired this one, so if someone recognizes the simularity, please speak up so I can give proper credit.

Ok, this ship is slightly larger than the "bug", but not by much....maybe 30 meters longer or so. It is supposed to be a heavy interceptor. The idea is to anchor a squadron of 12 interceptors with this strike cruiser.

Weapons are comparable to the bug, but it has two extra cannons forward and has much stronger armor and shielding. It is not as fast or menuverable as the bug of course.

This ship will have the same color pattern as the bug. Here are the current pics, I decided to smooth the mesh.

Interesting design Raven. I would suggest making the front a bit longer and more pointier as it looks like someones cut the front off.

Looks mean, I like it! Glad to see that BC2 is back on track...

I would like to suggest the color pattern of the ventral block part is also applied on the dorsal blocky part... that kind of grid...

Cool. I like that ventral detail (the teardrop shape with the glowing grill) a lot!

I agree that the front should somehow be changed, though. That just doesn't look right...

That was the intention, it will look alot better with textures of course. Got to work on the Klingons and remake some of the Feds first....

Looks cute and when you say it can anchor 12 interceptors, does that mean 12 interceptors can fit inside?

No, that means that in a group of it +12 interceptors, it will be the one on steroids dishing out the hurt/taking the majority of enemy fire.
It won't even have the volume of 12 interceptors, let alone have them fit inside...

Sorry, i wasnt specific...this should would be the leader of a squadron of 12 interceptors, or "bug ships" if you prefer.

I'm glad you like it. I'm looking at working on a few of the Dominion later on in the year...I have the Klingons, Roms and the Feds on the plate now.
