Mmm... not bad at all. Can we have some specs on this ship, for instance what's it's size, armament, top speed etc.
As for the image a decent render, if a little bright. But a nice image!!

Not a bad design at all. I like the features like the windows at the front, you should go over each part and add some more small bits like that.
Other than that, turn down the glow effect and lose the lens flares .

Cheers for the comments.
I posted that image just as a tester to see reactions to the design not really the quality of the render. This is a ship that me and my pal are building as a playable ship in Bridge Commander and thus is only around 6-7000 polys.
As for ship background the USS Patriot was a ship that we envisaged around 10 years ago for a series of short stories which featured the USS Patriot as a kinda starfleet task force for federation defense. This version is somewaht upgraded from that first vison we had but it has improved greatly during this project.
As for specs, She is 700m long 200m wide and has 26 decks. Main engineering is positioned inside the armoured dorsal section between the navigational deflector and the main saucer decks.
She has 4 forward firing torpedo tubes positioned below the shuttle bay doors in front of the bridge and an additional 4 torpedo tubes together with 4 phaser cannons on the nose pod positioned at the front of the bottom saucer section. This pod is interchangable at space dock for mission specific operations. As the Patriot was assigned to defense it was fitted with a weapons pod but sesor pods etc are possible. Just behind this pod is the USS Excalibur. A large battle shuttle that performs much like a small Defiant class ship. Similar in design but a two man support vessel instead.
The Patriot has 11 Phaser strips and a further 4 aft firing torpedo tubes.
Defesively she has standard modulating shields Ablative armour and Ablative field mesh which is a modification of the surface of the hull which channels energy weapon fire along the surface of the hull mesh and pushes it into the shield grid to improve recharge rates during battle situations.
Anyway heres some more pics, What you reckon??

HMM, not bad , I'd say it is well armed too, (that was a phaser cannon I saw , wasn't it?)

yeah godd job.The saucer is a little bigger that the rest of the ship.I would increase the size of the nacelle pylons they look a little to small and could break easy, and could you post the specs for this class to get an idea of the type size and firepower
of the ship

Sorry mate, i dont get your comment about the saucer being bigger than the rest of the ship. By volume at least you tell me a ship that isn't.

well i guess with the secondary hull up so far and underneath saucer it looks small
the nacelle pylons however look to thin i thin you should widen them not thicken them they just dont look right with the rest of the ship but thats me

Well Equinox has taste at least!!
I take your point Horton but the engineering section is small because there isn't much in there it's basically there to hold the nav deflector and the warp pylons really. Main engineering is located in the saucer section on this ship. Check the BC mods forum as I've explained in the post in there. Another guy has commented on the same thing though so you're not alone obviously. I think it's proportioned personally and has been lots of different sizes during building. This looked best IMO. check the side on view to see what I mean.
Nice comments though chaps, cheers
