Actually, there a couple of very last minute changes I'm in the middle of making. I realized that the fix I was providing for ACO by the Cap'n also applied to SR, so could I have another... 48 hours?
Nice readme, L.J.
And good luck on the English exam, Sovvy. You speak better on the internet than most native English speakers do, so either you're going to do great or your test is too hard!

Got it! All it is is a set of handlers to reset the bloody thing when the ship changes (for whatever reason), but it took quite a while to put everything together!
Now, I agree that we are GREEN for release!
Final Notes:
-ReadMe continues looking good.
-We could use some screenies. If l_j is submitting the file, I believe that that duty falls to him.
-Finally, I noticed at ESR's release that the Developer line only has room for one name. Now, it's of no particular concern to me one way or another, but, for clarity's sake, do you think we ought to come up with a name for the four of us? Like "BC Scripters Assoc." or something? Just a random thought.
Anyhow, I'll be sitting over here on the sidelines counting down until LIFTOFF!
P.S. Capt. Keyes: The handlers will have to be adapted for ACO. I'll be back online tomorrow.

Silent Running Version 0.4.2
BugList:
- It is possible to goto SR at warp. I tried to fix this with
Code: | # If we are warping then don't initate SR
if pShip.IsDoingInSystemWarp() == 1:
print "We cannot goto SR at warp Captin!"
return |
but i had no luck.
- With the cutscene disabled, Brex tries to say two things at once. I have managed to delay this with a very quick cutscene, but its not ideal and if anyone can fix this one that would be super.

If it weren't 'shopped, I'd say POTD. Great.
Sorry about forgetting the optional cutscene... again.

You could take a look at those bugs I mentioned about disabling SR during warp. hehe
I left the my attempt at codeing round it in the latest version, but commented out. I think the relevant function is :
Code: | pShip.IsDoingInSystemWarp() |
|

Here's a thought: add scaffolding.
Code: | # If we are warping then don't initate SR
print "SR: IDISW:", pShip.IsDoingInSystemWarp()
if pShip.IsDoingInSystemWarp() == 1:
print "We cannot goto SR at warp Captin!"
return
|
Then we can find out what value it gives out and when.

Why are you disabling this while at warp ?
If a Romulan Warbird or a Klingon BoP can run their cloak at warp whats to stop Federation ships lowering their EM signature while traveling at warp?

Silent Running isn't designed to decrease EM emissions specifically. It powers down the warp core. If you are at warp, and you turn off the warp core you don't need to be a trekkie to know what will happen If you want, after the Mod is released, PM me and i'll make you a version without disabling it at warp.
cpt.Eagleeye wrote: | Great mod and teamwork here
but I found a strange bug when I go to the Silent Running mode i can't get the power up
Is this a bug or i I have to do something else than just push the Silent Running mode
Even when i activated the Silent Running mode it still says Inactive
When I push the button the cutscene and all again but the power is still off
Other than that really great work guys ! |
Thanks
I am not entirely sure what you mean when you say you can't get the powerup. Do you mean that you can't increase power to subsystems like normal?
Could you send a console report and a screenie of whats going on?!? That would be awsome thanks!

thx for the screenie
hmm, something is definately odd going on here, what other scripting mods do you have?
Sorry I have to dash out now, but i'll print it out and have a think, hopefully wowbagger or uss soverign will know whats up. lol
My first impression is that there is another mod conficlitng with the menus. If you want try downloading the latest SR version again in the meantime.

Yes. That's a menu conflict issue. SR grabs the "End Combat" button in Saffi's menu. If it's not there, or it has a different name than the default, it can't add or remove the listeners, and your game crashes during power up.
Any idea what's causing that? And, while we're at it, what bridge are you using?

Full modlist please, scripts I mean and also give a full list of scripts in your qbautostart folder.
In the meantime try upgrading to the latest version of qbautostart 0.9.1 (If you don't have it). If you do try reinstalling qbautostart and SR.
BTW download the latest version of it.
The error message is rather odd to say the least.

Doesn't look like an QBautostart problem for me.

It's a menu naming problem
Hey, is L_J releasing this or what? I think I'm confused, but I'm not sure. In fact, I'm confused about my confusion. Perhaps this is what's confusing me in the first place.
