Greetings to you all, i am new to modding bridge commander, but not to modding in general i have modded games like freelancer, Joint Operations, Doom..etc etc....
My only question is this....how can you make the ships downloaded from this site available in the multiplayer realm? i have installed the ships using their required installation programs IE. BCMI. NET and BCMP.
Sadly the ships still remain unavailable in the multiplayer modes. I would appreciate some insight on this matter. Thanks for your time.

I cannot locate the .py file everyone is talking about. all i have located is a .pyc file with the same name, but sadly i cannot read the contents of said file because it is all in computer language. is there something i am missing here???

You need the SDK. It contains the uncompiled scripts. You'll also need the TGL Exporter for Word 2000 or the TGL Editor by DigitalFiend to edit the .tgl files.
It's been stated in the other threads already, but I can't stress enough that modding multiplayer is not for the faint of heart. It's generally recommended that you, and the people you plan on playing with, download an mp mod such as mpmp.

If you have the SDK, would it be easier to replace existing ships with new ships rather than adding new shisp to the game?
I want to get rid of that pesky Ambassador and replace it with an Excelsior.
