Hi everybody,

first, I want to say that I am a french person, so my english is really bad...

I don't have the game now, but I will have it soon and I have a few question about the starbase. Can we build some of them? If not, what do you do with the ones you download? They appear at a random point on the map?

I hope you'll answer to my questions and dont mind about the quality of my english... Wink

We have nearly any kind of base u can imagine as well as canon ones for most of the known races in the trek universe.

Installing bases is easy. Its basically involves one of 2 procedures. First off every model in BC that u download involves three main folders, Data, Scripts, and SFX. I usually use the drag and drop method buy dragging each folder to the BC main folder on the PC and dropping it in there allowing it to overwrite everything. The 2nd procedure involves using BCMI to install which will get to at a later date. But u must make sure u have BCMI and BCMP to install any model for BC.

EDIT: fixed a few things -Nebula

But there is something I did not understand: In the game, (the original one[without any mod...]) can you build starbase?

You don't build units in this game. You add ships and starbases to the map before the start of the battle.

*unless you DL one of Defiant's mods.*

We will talk more about that after you get the full version.

Seems rather well to me
Starbases are an added thing, you can't build them, maybe your thinking of Star Trek Armada, but I think this program is WAY better.

Ok, this is it... I have the Full version!

I tried the Quick Battle Mod and I find answers to my questions. But I do have a new one for you.

When I tried to install the Pacht 1.1, it said that my installation wasn't correct. Can someone tell me why?

You need to install it to the right directory.

Make sure it goes to the same place you installed BC.
