          | I'm sure this has been done before, but it has to be First Contact without a doubt
And those of you who voted for Insurrection, seriously what are you smoking?

          | Yeah, First Contact had the best blend of humour, canonness, special effects, and overall coolness.

          | First contact is the best. Threat to Humankind, apropriate desperation bringing charactors to the edge...
Nobody actually gives a damn about the Baku or viridianIII deep down.

Nemesis was too much about the ships/technology.

Although I do have to say at this point that I think all of them are good films, just FC is a particularly excellent example.

          | the only thing i didnt like about FC, seeing it in the theaters, new ent-e ship and such...
i didnt like how they just like "threw" you into the plot... i think the borg battlescene should have been longer, more indepth (ya ya i know time and budget etc etc), i had hoped to see more of the ent-e, internally, and such.. but it's like, the movie begins, then BAM! "yes i know, the borg", then BAM! battle scene, then BAM! over, then all of a sudden they were like "oh ya, that where cochran is building his ship! BAM! all within like 30 minutes...
i wouldn have minded a 3 hour movie, if the first 30 mins were more stretched out... lol
other than that it was cool...
as far as battlescenes, and overall doom-like feeling (as far as watching the ship getting its "derrier" kicked), i'd go with nemesis...

          | my fav seen out of FC is the part where they are going in to engineering to try to release the plasma coolant, and data is all anxious and the captain orders him to turn off his emotion chip
"....emotions off."
"Data there are times I envy you."

          | First Contact has gotta be the best TNG movie.
All the others make for pretty good movies, but FC is a level above them.

          | My favourite part in FC is when Picard flips out and breaks his "little ships". I found it ironic when he does that, the Enterprise-D saucer comes off.
"Jean-luc, blow up the damn ship!"

          | Man, the internet is strange. I was just cruising through one of the web boards I look at every now and then, and came across this. Weird timing, eh?

  	  | Quote: | | No! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I will not sacrifice the Enterprise. We've made too many compromises already, too many retreats.

They invade our space, and we fall back.
They assimilate entire worlds, and we fall back.

 Not again.
The line must be drawn HERE!
 This far, no further!

And I...will make them PAY for what they've done.

LOL! I completely agree with you there, but we ALL know that is because we want to see more of the ship [and other ships in the fleet] so we can mod them to our hearts content, and to see the Fed ships in action more, too
which of course, is probably what all fans wanted - hence the reason they made Nemesis... and failed with it. BADLY!

I think killing Data off in Nemesis was probably the final nail in the coffin for the fans, and the TNG crew.

 100% First Contact for me!!

 In my estimation it goes:
 1.First Contact - (duh, it's brilliant)
2.Generations - (a lot better than most give it credit for)
3.Nemesis - (great space battles, but it just lacked something)

 438.Gigli
 439.Barbie's 30-minutes shopping adventure
 ....
 ....
557.Insurrection - (Just when we thought Frakes was a good director!)

          | I really liked Insurrection, it wasnt just focused on the ships, also the story is something different. FC has the best suspense, thats why I choose it as my favorite. But: Generations humor was much better than FCs. You know Data playing that song with the console

Which brings up the question: Why on earth don't they just replicate some 20th century guns and shoot all the borg???

I second that motion. Really, lay off the drugs. Although it does have some best individual parts, namely the Gilbert and Sullivan joke.

 AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
 |

Which brings up the question: Why on earth don't they just replicate some 20th century guns and shoot all the borg???
 |

...Because the movie would have been over after 10 minutes!

          | They'd probably adapt to the "Frequency" of the bullets... as in, how frequent they were! 10 per second, that oughta make for an interesting shield visual effect.
And wasn't that gun from DS9 with the sensor-scope developed to fight the borg?
