Shipyard Idea sounds fun, but I had an Idea for SW cap ships:
Make a shipyard model for SDs (or just grab one from another SW game), basicly, it would be a great addition to my Alternate SW Universe. PM me if ya want to know details about my Alt SW Universe.

i reckon a mod where u can choose a certain lifestyle like in sfc3,u culd be a merchantman or freelance,joinstarfleet etc and chooose any ship with certain prestige.

dont know if this has been requested did some searches of the forum couldnt find any, if it has, apologies, is their a mod of that sub space torpedo from insurrection? it could create a cloudy patch of space (like in the briar patch map where it damages your ship when u enter a certain area), and it pulls u into it untill u like blow ur warp core up in that patch, hehe obviously youd only get one torpedo, again sorry if its already out or been posted

A mod that automatically transfers you to the next available friendly ship upon your ships destruction would be great.
My fleets are always well balanced - but I only ever go with the top ships in order to survive as long as possible. Having this mod would allow me to be involved in large battles, controlling lesser powered federation ships and really getting a feel for the whole range of ships out there.
A great example is a battle with the borg. I set up a battle with 20 or so federation ships - but if I control any of the weaker federation ships then its basically game over straight away. Having this mod would allow me to fight the Borg right to the very last ship standing! - having the fun of controlling several very varied ships.
Can you help?! Thanks

Hey, I know im new to this forum, but I was wondering if anyone has made any of these ships/stations. If so where can I find them? If not, would someone be willing to make them? I know I definatly want to creat some battles in bc.
-Aurora class anchient warship - aurora, inferno, allies
-Wraith Hive ship - the siege (part 1,2,3) Lost boys, The Hive
-Wraith Crusier - the siege (part 1,2,3) condemned
-Wraith Dart - most of the episodes
-Puddle Jumper - most of the episodes
-Anchient defence satalite - the siege (part 1)
-Deadalus - most of season 2 episodes
-damage textures for wraith ships can be found - Trinity

I have an idea for a mod alot of people mite like the abilaty to change the name and reg on a ship when u choose ur ship in quick battle or mulitplayer i have been trying to make one myself but dont have the tools or knowhow to do it.

Welcome to BCU! We ahve that ability, but the author jsut has to make the textures, using Mleo's submenu mod, and S&D tool, you can.

The Fesarius is possible, we just dunno how big it is (I never watched the episode, but I have read the script for it).
Vger is about 98 KM, too big for Bridge Commander.
Whale probe measures about to 74.5 KM, also too big.

we also need to figure out what to do about the cloud, is there any way have the cloud arround the actual ship, then make it so you can fly through the cloud and into the ship. ooooo i have a better idea...one of map packs has a vger map, what if vger, both cloud and ship were a station, not a ship and so then you could fly inside it like in the movie and have it as a map...not a ship?

OK, I'll remain sane even though the post I just typed was lost....
Ehm... anyways.
How about a mod based on the book, "Star Trek Deep Space Nine Millenium"? The book is about how the crew of the Defiant is thrown 20 years into a war-torn future in which the entire Milky Way is split over wether the Red Wormhole, controlled by the Pah-Wraiths and produced by the Red Orbs of Jalbador, or the Blue Wormhole, the one we all know and love, is the real Celestial Temple. Faced with ships that have phasers that reduce their sheilds to 18% with one hit, and torpedoes that ingore shields they must stop the destruction of the universe.
You would captain one of the mostrous beasts of the 25th century, fighting to preserve, or extinguish the existence of everything. The mod, (preferably called The War of The Prophets,) wouldhave never-before-seen scripts that really bring out the points of BC that we havnn't seen. Trading, production. Lots more. Here's some:
1. Minable nebulas that would increase energy stores and latinum levels for your side.
2. An open-flow campaign where your choices affect the outcome.
3. Planets that have populations and produce materiel supplies based on that population. (Meanin that a planet with 100 inhabitants would produce food packets and a planet with 1,000,000 would produce warpcores.)
4. Destroyable planets to hamper the opposing side's war machine.
5. Starbases that would produce ships and other supplies based on it's intake of raw materials.
6. Spaced out command, communication, and defence bases that would function and require defending.
7. New technologies that would include subspace mines and working slipsteam drives.
8. Phenomenon such as wormholes and quantum rifts that would pull your ship lightyears off course.
9 Beautiful new ships for the Borg, CArdassians, Dominion, Breen, Romulans, Klingons, and Federation that would dwarf the Galaxy- class and the Sovereign.
10. New bridges with dynamic system damage. Meaning that if you lost sensors, science would lose it's "Scan Area" function and tactical would lose " Auto target" meaning you would have to hit "H" and manually target each ship.
Please don't comment that i'm crazy. I know I am, and don't tell me that this is impossible, it would just take a LONG time. So, enough gab, what do you guys and gals think? Yay or Ney?

I have a unique idea for a mod. I will paint a full picture for you to not confuse anyone.
I am sure you are familar with simming, imagine taking some of the best mods like KM and WalkFX Immersion(when it is done) and finding a way to allow say 10 people to share the same ship. Each person has an assigned position from the Captain, if possible the posts will be Cannon. I have no clue why Activision placed Helm where Ops is suppose to be and Tac where Helm is suppose to be, and Science where Tac is suppose to be. Just plain odd. But back to the painting. The Captain would assign each user a position and command the ship. Using some well created sets for away teams and departments we can have missions away from the ship and in the ship. Basically a simming adventure in a 3D world expanding your dreams of being in the trek world.
What do u think?

To CaptGraham: It sounds like a cool mod, but in order to use it, the client will have to have the exact same files as the host. If not, a connection can not be made. Also, 3d sets, such as walking around a ship would have to be made.... and that ain't no easy task. It took me 2 - 3 weeks just to make the Endeavor Class, and that jus the exterior. Guaranteed, that ship might slow down some comps do to it's poly size and hopefully it's future texture detail (not saying I want to slow down people's comps, I just want a fancy dancy looking ship). What I'm saying is that if you add interior sets for high poly and even low poly ships, the bc engine will start to lag really bad, and possibly crash, especially if you have ships flying around that are firring disruptors. The bc engine has a memory leak that can not be fixed by legal means (unless some copyright owners stop being stubborn). Don't get me wrong, I would love to have a mod like that, as long as it was playable. But for right now, we have to make mods that can accomadate the limitations of BC. If I were you, I would wait for Star Trek Legacy to come out or for NanoFX GE to be used in a fan made game. There is also a long shot here... beg really hard with Apollo (if you can find him) to return to developing ATP Dimensions.

couldnt u do create the whale probe with a normal cylinder and on the same scale as say the sovereign and then just scale the wale probe to the apropiate size, which would keep the poly count down, wouldnt it

well heres my idea(s) for a mod
1. i think it would be great if it was possible to make a bridgeuniform mod,
so when i change my bridge say to the TOS bridge the crew also change there unifoms to that era,
2. now i dont know if this mod would ever be possible, but id like a mod where if u damage a ship badly its disabled with out destroying the impulse engines, i think it would make the game more canon, because i sometimes find it so annoying trying to disable the ship engines when i cant hit them,
P.S can someone plz do a list of script commands and explain wot each 1 means and does, cause id like to create my own mods, but i dont know wot the hell im doing, thankyou

i have an idea a refit of the Ambassador class
with the base model of the yamaguchi sub-type
with a few more torpedo launchers more powerful phaser arrays a phaser cannon like on the galaxy dreadnounght or two like on the ronin and maybe
a new nacelle design and maybe three of those new nacelles

Ok, I have a ship design I had done a year ago and couldnt work on cause I lost my PC.

This design Ive dedicated to my late wifes memory, as she loved it. Only problem is I cant finish it. Im hoping one of the old modelers around here would be willing to recreate the design and finish it off, or atleast make a dedication plaque image for the ship. I wouldnt ask if I had any way of doing it myself.
