I have a problem with minimizing my game

I can start my game and play it but every time it is minimized or i press alt+tab to minimize it it does get minimized but when I try to open it again it is all black (if i am playing multiplayer etc) and when I am in the menu and minimize and open again the only thing i see is the little ship that is spinning in the lower left corner and the diagram in the right. I have always been able to minimize it before without any problems.

These are my system specs:

AMD Athlon 3200+ XP
156GB HD
1024MB Ram
NVIDIA GeForce 6600

OK you gave your RAM (thanks) But what is your video memory?
-Ram and video memory are txo different things-
and Harddrive size is not it either, you'd be suprised at the number of folks, that get all those seperate items mixed up

Well I went to dxdiag and looked at my card and it said

estimated total memory: 128mb. I guess that is right

Yea that seems right, suggestion (since I got only 64mb vidoe mem-)
try going into you BC Configuration > Graphics , turn off "space dust , Motion blur, see if that helps

Well, I think that it isn't wise to alt-tab while playing any game. Just stick to the program or close it when you want to do something else.

About the problem, I had the same one, my solution: restart or no alt-tab-ing.
