Hey all Beings I am still waiting for help on my Construction ship on how to make the black damage effect for the textures. I have decited to try making a bridge from scratch my first one. Here she is The Sovereign class bridge Nemesis style.
Its still not finished on the mesh part but I am having trouble on making the ceiling I have benn trying to make it for two days but still I can't get it right. But the worst was yet to come after I added the chairs and the consoles from EF2 with some modifications the poly count boosted to over 8k That makes me mad I tryed to cut down the chairs what they are the ones that boosted the count but it is no use once I cut to the amount I wanted the chairs turn out ugly and missing peaces.
So know I can't do the ceiling untill the count is under 7k or 6k which I I can't cut much further.
So I was hoping if any of you guys can help me out on cutting the bridge to the right count and add the ceiling any one not only Viper or LC.
This bridge will be a great replacment of the other Sov bridge in BC.

not bad. As far as those chairs, I would just model new ones OVER the existing ones. that way you can use the old ones as a guide.

Thanks Viper May be when I make my own chiar I'll see if I can boxy it a bit that way there won't be alot of poly count from it.
The view screen is the right size I used a photo of the view screen in nemesis and traced it so the size is essactly the same size.

Hmmm I guess the pic just makes it look a little squished from the angle it's shown at.

What would be great is another version to go with this, but with the viewscreen blown out.
Maybe the hole could be a viewcreen that you cant control
Looks great.

I don't know if that can happen even with the polycount being high as it is.
Any way I manage to drop the poly cound a bit more. The three chair I wan'st able to make those well after I made them there poly count was more than the one I used as reference so I used those instead and tweaked them a bit which that cut there count a bit.
I have manager to make the other chairs though so that droped the count a bit more also I have cut the consoles count a bit also which I had a feeling that I can cut them down than yesturday after I was frustrated that I can't get the ceiling made.
But of course once this bridge is done both the bridge and the CG Sovereign will eat the Memory for people which low end computers. For me it will work fine but I wouldn't want to add more than 4 enemy ships though for the ones you have added to BC one or 2 depends on there poly count.

Cant wait to see the texturing on this bridge. A canon bridge model, and canon textures would be perfect....

Ah thanks for putting that out I'll see if I can bring them forward a bit more.
I am still looking for a person who is willing to make the ceiling for me though one that will have the right poly count so it won't go over 8k. All the bridge needs is a ceiling thats it.

I can't tell you how long I've wanted a new one of these. This'll go great with the CG Sov 2.0!

i could be wrong, but it seems as tho the 2 consoles for the XO and where deanna troi would sit, (guest spot?) seems like they should stretch a tad bit more across their "laps" in front of them?

If you need reference photos for textures and refining the mesh, try taking a look at the screencaps from the movie over at Trek Pulse.com. Best set I've seen, and large enough so you can see minor things like the exact shapes and sizes of the furniture and consoles.

Thats ok I have the movie.
I have an upadte on Adonis progress on the bridge he has been able to cut the poly count the way it would be but by doing so he nneded to re mesh some stuff mainly the floor. Then he will make the ceiling so there will be no dely.
Its a good thing that I sent the bridge to someone with more experience to make the ceiling and to cut the count other wise the bridge will be to high and can't use it in BC.

Ok, I've corrected the mess on some 70% of the floor, I've just left to do the part where the Captain, XO, and Guest sit. I still need to symmetry the walls on the longitudinal axis (it's a little unsymmetrical right now), and weld verts on the viewscreen, after that, I'll do the ceiling, but it'll take longer than I previously thought...

there's a sov bridge cieling model in EFII, you can use it for reference if not for straight use.

Ah the more I look at those pictures the more I like it.
I'm glad the Captains Chair has arm rests now so I don't have to place my coffee on my lap during a Borg/Reman attack.
